Default Tata is cheating - upload speeds are lower

Hey guys!

Anybody got Tata Broadband recently, any plants from more4sure.in?

I got Infinity 1 Mbps SYM plan which is supposed to be 1 Mbps both directions. However, upload is always 300 Kbps only. I complained around 10 times to Tata customer support and Nodal officer - but only received promises, never any action.

Then, my friend applied for a Tata connection too and the sales executive told him that Tata upload speed will ALWAYS be 300 Kbps due to some technical reasons, no matter what is written in the official brochure/website. So he adviced my friend to go for another plan, not 1 Mbps SYM because of this.

If it's true, then Tata is obviously cheating on all clients - publicly promising higher speeds that can be provided technically. They have many plans with 512+ upload speed announced.

Okay, will try!

So far, nobody helped at customerservice@tatacommunications.com - only preliminary answer like "thanks for contacting us".

In ADSL, upload speed is never the same as download. Usually upload speed is 1/4th of download speed. But upload speed must be 256 kbps or above (as per TRAI guidelines) to qualify as broadband.

We are not talking about ADSL. More4sure plans are not ADSL broadband.

Moreover, who cares what is the maximum upload speed as per standards, if the advertised maximum upload speed is equal to maximum download speed. You have to keep your promises given in marketing/ad campaigns, otherwise - you are cheating as per laws.
