Thread: TATA Indicom Photon is Best

Yesterday i went in TATA indicom Shop their i saw TATA indicom photon demo. I checked speed on 2 sites it shows me 1.8 mbps and 2 mbps while download speed i checked by downloading songs it shows 25 to 30 speed. Not bad compare to plug to surf. It's best option for USB data card user. Compare to other USB data card photon giving good download speed.

The new USB Modem device forming part of its Photon service also allows you to make voice calls, Send & Receive SMS. It also supports your Laptop/Desktop PC earphone and microphone.

TATA Photon + (plus) Mobile Broadband is presently available only in Delhi, Patna, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Dehradhun, Shimla & the circles of J & K, Assam & NESA States. where as Reliance broadband plus is available in all over in India.

Yes Tata photon is great!! I used it too at my brother's. and the speeds were just awesome..

I hope Tata photon will add more features to the services, which are unique.

I found photon+ is the worst internet service ever in my life. I am sure the person who is writting "good" for photon+ is from the tata teleservices itself.

the device is worst, speed is too slow (as slow as 153.6 kbps)
customer care persons are good for nothing....

BSNL 3G is best for people who have lesser browsing needs..

was fool enough to try download a movie through photon.
after 1hour managed amazing 3.96MB..wow i definetly carry **** ie tata photon

the downloading speed on photon drops to 30-40kbps when u start d/w big files but while surfing its around 1.8-2 mbps they throttle the speed as soon as you start heavy d/w

No Its the best service it has good availiability and speed it gives my downloading speed upto 26kbps (i am talking about only tata photon not plus)

I think the same thing they are doing to me even with my limite plan for which I pay 882rupees for only 120 hours a month!

the servers I hardly use are at 150 or moe kBPS and those I use the most with premium acc are at 6-7 kBps..a fall of 170-180 kBps in speed over night as with premium acc I used to get 200 almost everytime in peak hour(morning3-30 to 5-20 am)

If it is not solve in 2 days I will atleast make 15-20 members get rid of their photon plus in chennai only,I am utterly disgusted with them

Went today to tata indicom show room to extend my Photon Plus (usually 30 day expiry) & charged Rs 250/250 mb/30 days. I still have more than 6 GB (left over from a 10 Gb/Rs 1350/30 days /recharge/3 months ago).

Still 10 Gb costs Rs 1200 (No ! we dont un limited bull **** @1 x speed) .
I told them 3 G -15 Gb @ 3 mbps is selling around Rs 1500. So they should price 2 G -10Gb @ Rs 500-700 !!
They were saying their network ( CDMA) quality is better.
Then I told them the same technology/similar speeds - is available with BSNL EVDO un limited @ Rs 750. They were eager to pack me off and attend the next customer..
They are basically catching newbies ( like I was a year back -when I wanted mobile broad band).

From your posts - I come to know that they are screwing their post paid hourly customers with reduced speed. ( like BSNL 3G is shifting the 6 months U/L customers)
But Photon Plus Pre paid GB Data pack customers are getting full speed (1 Mbps usually) as they hope we will finish it faster and come back for more !

but this is insane!how can they throttle my torrents and premium accounts and still allow me 1.7mbps speed for other servers?

Please don't go by the original post, that must be some marketing guy from Tata Indicom. They should change their slogan from "I carry speed" to "I carry s**t". I'm a victim of their Photon Plus pre-paid plan. Their customer care is hopeless, to say the least. They don't stick to their SLAs. They will solve your problem only "tomorrow". I'm still waiting for that "tomorrow".

tata photon plus is the waste of money and time.its totaly loss.so slow speed.so many times disconnection,guys dont ever go for the tata photon.i have been suffered a long time by tata photon.then i throw out the the its usb stick & buy a new usb modem of reliance netconnect.now i m happy with this dongle.nice speed,good plans.reliance is the better than the all network.tata cant stand in front of reliance.

if any of you haven't use MTS try it, ask for demo at your home from MTS. I am sure you will forgot TATA photon. though MTS is new in market but it is proving very cheap data plans. one of the rocking plan is 999rs 12gb(3.1 mbps)+CDMAx1(144kbps) after 12gb uses, and another rocking plan is near about ~490rs 3GB(3.1 mbps) data.whereas photon just give 1gb at 3.1 mbps for price of near about 500rs. And MTS speed is rocking too, even more than TATA photon. i have used both of them in very good connectivity area and found MTS really Rocks.....
just Give a try and I am sure you will save nearly 6000rs per year(500 per month) with MTS(Cheap plans)
