Thread: Setting up wireless for TATA VSNL Broadband

I am trying to setup a wireless connection from my TATA VSNL Broadband connection. I used the Netgear CD to automatically set it up through the wizard but could not get it to detect the internet connection though wireless coonection router is fine. And internet works fine through modem w/o router.

Here are the config details:
Broadban modem : Teracom TAD100 ADSL2
Router : NEtgear WNR1000

If you see the IP address and Gateway are setup as diff networks, I am assuming it is because of static ip.

Desperately in need of pointers in setting this up.

DHCP should be turned on.

and internet works fine through modem w/o router.

In modem
LAn page enable DHCP
range 192.168.1.2 to say 192.168.1.10
Apply save
wait for two minutes.

2.

Start Network/ LAn properties
Network settings page
select TCP/IP
properties
Select Obtain Ip address automatically.
DNS same or
8.8.8.8 and 208.67.222.222
Apply save.

3. Now post only for LAN mode connection
post ipconfig /all

4. will post link for Tad100 later if required
