Thread: Tata Indicom Broadband 2.0

Hey,

I'm from Mumbai, and I download a lot of stuff!, so i was opting for Flash 256 or 384 scheme from Tata Indicom Broadband 2.0, is there anyone whos using it??

Flash 256 :
D/L speed (8am-10pm) - 256kbps
D/L speed (10pm-8am) - 1.5Mbps
Upload Speed - 256Kbps
Monthly Charge - 1100/-
Sunday Boosters

Flash 384 :
D/L speed (8am-10pm) - 384kbps
D/L speed (10pm-8am) - 1.5Mbps
Upload Speed - 256Kbps
Monthly Charge - 1200/-
Sunday Boosters

What is the installation charges?? and
Will i really get those D/L speeds mentioned??

If there is some other net that gives unlimited usage\Downloads and a high d/l speed, then do let me know

You must go for MTNL Broadband.
Its the best ISP in Mumbai.

I have never used TATA Indicom but as far as I know its one of the worst ISPs in India.

Go for Reliance, no installation charges and no stupid modem required, no downtimes and disconnections, best ISP amongst all, call 1800-3000-7777 toll free for any queries and bookings.

Don't go for it....
As you have mentioned that you are a heavy downloader then any of the TATA Flash plan or Airtel plan doesn't suit you. Kindly refer the both of the websites where they have mentioned the download limit for TATA 68 GB per month and For Airtel somewhat like 70 GB per month. Beyond that usage I have heard TATA block the download stuff and airtel charges. Still check it out one more time.
Even I wanted to go for these plans but later on got to know this condition. So now I am planning to go for Relaince 1499 Plan 1 MBPS 24X7 with no download limit.

Well I have enquired about it and checked it by myself......cause one of my frend have it...the download speed is pretty decent....they are upto the mark....for torrentz download speed goes to 200+ and avrage somewhat 180+ (Afcourse kb/s). and for other files sometimes it goes more than that....

Hi,

I took Tata connection lost year April by seeing their plans . I am still struggling to get proper connection.
It will disconnects almost daily specially in night time. Within 4 months from Jan-April I gave 21 complaints just for disconnectivity.

I have never experianced such a f***ing service from any service providers. Great service by Tatasky, dead opposite by Tata Indicom.
I paid 4 months advance. Thats why waiting to get it end.

Here are the basic things....
If you want the night (10 PM to 8 AM) and sunday booster upto 2MBPS and day whatever the plan speed is.
But if you are a heavy downloader like to use torrentz, Rapidshare and other stuff then I advice you to not to go for it because TATA and Airtel have FUP (Fair Usage Policy). This means TATA offers you certain Data Limit Per month Like for e.g. 384 KBPS plan they have 68 GB data transfer Limit beyond that limit they ban your account.
as simple as that.

That Fair Usage Policy sounds more like FU Policy!!!

@Ashish: What ISP are you using currently? How is it? Which one would you recommend, if any?
