Thread: Question about Tata Indicom

I am new to Broadband and wanted to get one question clarified before jumping on to "broadband".

Is there any call charges for using broadband. I was planning to get Tata Indicom and was told there aren't any phone charges. Is this true, since their website says "additional PSTN charges as applicable".

call charges dont apply for broadband connections on phone lines, Its called ADSL and is the data is transfered through the same phone line and you can use the phone while you are using the internet coz they dont interfere with each other as voice calls work at a different band.
Make sure its not a dial up connection.
