AS most of you kno tht there is a way to hack or do somthin to the router or the seetings by which u can get better speed. (such hacks/settings have been repotedly posible for bsnl connections so i guess it is available for tata also) Plz if anyone has any info on such stuff thn plz do inform us... so tht evn we can enjoi higher speeds..... | I totally disagree with you. That tata doesnt provide stable bandwidth. All Broadband ISP provides bandwidth on demand.First checkout how many TataB users u have in ur locality.Maybe there are more users bcoz of which u some time get down time. Im thoroughly satisfied with tata B service i also purchase my own router and plugged in RJ11 jack from USb modem to router and its all workin fine.the bandwidth is excelent. |

Rep Power: 3 | As u know frnds there are a lot of other ISP's in market. TATA has recently just entered in the market with its broadband plan. I can give u 100% better other ISP's then TATA. Now take BSNL itself.I think if u are opting for unlimited(256 kbps) then noone other than BSNL can give u a match. Hathways is also better if u have mb use.The service of hathway is better than anyone. Also ur q's of hacking is no kid game. Anyway hacking in hathway is possible if u get someones ID and passssssssssssss |

Rep Power: 3 | Tata indicom is not good and I don't understand why you people go for it. Just go for Airtel if its available and if its not then I can say that BSNL is also better than TATA. |

Rep Power: 2 | Well as of my experience with TATA broadband i would say that they do provide stable speed. If you are not getting it then i think you should report this matter to there custome care department and see what they say about it (if they would ever reply). |

Rep Power: 2 | TATA is know for reliable speed and this is the main reason because of which i purchased their connection and if you are not getting stable speed then i think you should report this matter to their customer care department and if you are lucky a technician would visit your house in a week or two. |

| To speed up the Internet connection speed we need to configure a special buffer in the computer's memory in order to enable it to better deal with interrupts made from the NIC (Network Interface cards) or LAN Card: (This tip is only recommended if you have 256MB RAM or higher.) STEP#1:Identify the IRQ used by the NIC/USB modem Follow these steps: Open the System Information tool by running MSINFO32.EXE from the Run command. Expand System Summary > Hardware Resources > IRQs. Look for the listing made for your NIC (in my case - Realtek 81xxx Ethernet NIC+ Management Adapter). Note the IRQ next to the specified line (in my case - IRQ21). Step #2 : Modify the system.ini file Follow these steps: Run SYSEDIT.EXE from the Run command. Expand the system.ini file window. Scroll down almost to the end of the file till you find a line called [386enh]. Press Enter to make one blank line, and in that line type IrqX=4096 where X is the designated IRQ number we found in step #1, in my case it's IRQ21. Click on the File menu, then choose Save. Close SYSEDIT and reboot your computer. Done. Speed improvement will be noticed after the computer reboots. |
