Thread: I Coudn't Configure my Router...

Hi I am Using Tataindicom BB Post paid Router Connection, Tata Provided a Billion Bipac 5200S Model ADSL Router with the Connection.
The guy who installed the connection was able to configure the router,
(ie) http://<gatewayIP> on the browser & got some pages filled in details.

But when i tried the same after few days i get nothing...
I always get Host not reachable error.

I tried using telnet too...
when the command [telnet <gatewayip>] is given in CMD prompt.
I get a blank black screen , and on press of any keys i get back to command prompt...

Is there anything locked...
Please help...

the gateway address is 192.168.1.254 and the usename and password is admin. try this and configure the router.

the gateway in some cases tends to be 192.168.1.1 try this im sure u will be able to configure ur router...the pass and user name is admin

Do this
Go into command prompt and type "CD\" and press enter.
Then type "IPCONFIG" and press enter
there is will show you system IP ADDRESS, SEBNET MASK and DEFAULT GATEWAY ADDRESS.

The router is equal to the DEFAULT GATEWAY ADDRESS.
