Thread: Frequent Sign-offs in Internet Messengers

One of my friends is having a Tata Indicom ADSL(with Static IP) at his office and the net is shared among the computers using Squid proxy.

The problem is of frequent connection drops in the Tata connection so that the IMs are always signing-off and signing-on.

There is another ISP in the office and the same problem is not happening with that ISP which nullifies the internal network issues.

The download and upload speeds are fine. The problem is with the connection drops so even if someone downloads a file from a server which doesn't supports Resume then he/she has to download the file from beginning.

What is cause of the problem ?

The Tata guys are waste of time and their support is good for nothing.

Anyone there ?

Tried with another modem but still...
