Thumbs down Setting up on Win 7 64 bit

    Hello All,

I recently picked up a Tata photon plus, the model no being Olive VME 101. For some driver reason it doesnt install on my laptop - Windows 7, 64 bit. Is there a way I could install this device so that the modem could be recognized and I could use the photon plus connection?

Really appreciate if anyone could help.

    - Sachin

Default Tata Photon Plus with Olive VME101 device

    Hi Sachin,

Did you manage to get the same installed on your Win 7 64-bit system ? Usually the s/w is on the device itself and it installs immediately after you plug-in the device. The s/w version which comes with this device of Olive VME101 is 1.1.4, but you can upgrade it to 1.1.5 which seems the latest.
I have been using the Tata Photon Plus on Olive VME101 for the past few months on my Win 7 Home Premium 64-Bit sys and it works fine. Just that when I use the option "Close Application and Disconnect device" system hangs. Also, when I use the option in Options menu "Test Photon+ Device" For Driver it shows "Not Ok" while for everything else it shows "Ok". Guess the driver was actually written for the 32-bit version of Win OS or because it is not signed driver, as required by Win 7 64-bit OS.

Do let me know if you managed to get the 64-bit drivers for this device.

    Thanks & regards,

    Ramesh
