Thread: Sharing connection between two computers in a room

hi,

I am having tata indicom 128 kbps unlimited connection - my friend having a system in next room - we want to share the connection - but modem provided by tata has only one usb and ethernet output

Anybody suggest best and cheap method of sharing connection - will rj45(ethernet splitters) help me??

I am not sure that RJ splitters work to share the internet .
It can be tried ! And you can put the computers together
and check if USB and Ethernet simultaneous connection is
possible . If it is possible then its the cheap & best solution !

i dont know whether its modem or router its model no is TNDSL 2120 (TELENET) . is it possible to take simultaneous output from usb and ethernet port? will it make any prob to modem ? i havent tried yet.. suggest me the best way of sharing

why dont you try Internet Sharing option if you are using Windows OS
