I have been using Tata indicom broadband - WiMax for almost one year but had to disconnect it last month due to a very strange reason. The reason was the Tata Indicom service engineer could not get a ladder to climb up to where the antennae was fixed!!!! So he reported that connection itself is not feasible in my area.So tata promptly informed me they were disconnecting the service.
To TATA Indicoms credit, they have an almost very goodcustomer care.Although some very few times I had to shout abuses to get things moving ,when I was fed up,but that was only twice or thrice. The service was good.Ours was a 500kbps UL plan.We used to get around 480 - 490 kbps regularly. We were on the verge of upgrading to the 1Mbps plan when the antennae issue cropped up and the service engineer decided that he cannot be bothered to get hold of a ladder. It was the first time I was hearing about an internet service engineer, without ladders. He was expecting me to get a ladder from somewhere and we tried too.But it is not easy to persuade people to give their belonging to total strangers in Bangalore.
Anyway long story short, our connection got terminated.![]()
