    Exclamation Throwing away Reliance N You Telecom

    im throwing away the gay reliance and they gay youtelecom connection for vsnl 256 kbps unlimited 6 months plan. Is this good.O and i live in mumbai , bandra (w).

    Default Do NOT Go for Tata Indicom

    It is one of the WORST providers. Do a search on Google for "Tata Indicom Broadband" before going for it.

    Lookat at MTNL and Airtel. Go for one of these if they are available in your area.

    I agree with netfreak about VSNL or tata indicom what ever you like to call them.. To get a feel of what the customer care staff is like give them a quick call and see for yourself and let me know if you cant find a number for them I will find one for you.

    MTNL and Airtel especially are supposed to be good, MTNL is good if you live anywhere less them 3 kilometres from the exchange but any furthur, be prepared for dying speeds. My strong advice is check in your locality and see if anyone has got MTNL adsl connection and ask them how has it been as it all depends on the quality of cables and the distance from the exchange. In delhi MTNL customer care is very responsive but dont know about Mumbai.
    I know a few people who use Airtel and have also used other isp's and they all say Airtel is better then any other isp in India But then Airtel being an Indian company has to prove its Indian ness by messing up in the bills and charges front so if you go for airtel close the chapter of billing woes by taking up an unlimited package may be 256 kbps or whatever suits so there will be no room for any additional charges.

    Default i feel impotent (not important "IMPOTENT")

    If u enjoy feeling like a idiot then TATA indicom (VSNL) is the connection you should go for.


    I have been complaining from a month that my broadband connection keep dropping every few minutes and every time the call center guy asks the same silly questions in the same sequence,

    1, Is the switch in line mode or loop mode?
    This is spite of me telling them that the connection keeps coming and going they suggest that some one must be switching it from line to loop mode every now and again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2, have I cleared my Internet Explorer cache?
    When I tell them I use only firefox browser, they insist that I still have to clear my IE cache for the connection to work properly

    3, then when I inform about my continuous line dropping they promise that it will be attended in 6 working hours with the phase “I will place your complaint on the highest priority sir “and ending with “is there anything else I can do for you? “ and then they add insult to injury with the parting phase “ Have a nice day and thank you for calling TATA indicom “ as if I have called the complaint center for some social time pass.
    Given below is a list of my complaints and complaint numbers, WHICH BY THE WAY HAVE ALL BEEN CLOSED BY VSNL AS HAVING BEEN ATTENTED TO AND CONNECTION WORKING SATISFACTORY!!!!!!

    Members of this forum must be wondering why I don’t go for a alterative service provider, the fact is that I give a call to airtell every month but as of now they say the feasibility of connection in my area is not there, and knowing the level of service in India there is no guarantee they will be any better,

    To sum it up in my own country, my own city, in my own house “I FEEL IMPOTENT” , all because I have committed the cardinal sin of desiring a broadband internet connection in my house.

    hey!! , thankx for the reply.u have really put alot of effort into it.theres no point of taking tata , as they r not available in my area.im sticking with reliance
