Thread: Tataindicom broadband with 3 in 1 wireless router ZYXEL make

Hi:

My Broadband wired Connection details:
Tariff Plan: DS402-ADSL-512Kbps-599-unlimited Plan
Currently I am using tataindicom broadband(wired connection) using a modem . Modem (Zyxel )was supplied by tataindicom.that can be connected to only one PC ( i..e. only one LAN Port)

I want to use a 3 in 1 ( 4-Lan port + Modem+Wifi)wireless router, As now we have two laptops and one desk to use at home .

Can you please tell me from where to buy this and install at my residence.I called tataindicom customer but of no help.

i came to know that this model can serve the puropse: Zyxel P-660HW-T1 v3.
Appreciate any information/guidance in this matter

Modem (Zyxel )was supplied by tataindicom

Mention model number.
You can keep it as standby.
Use a 3 in 1 adsl modem+4lanport+wifi router.

Buy a stand alone wifi router ( cheaper ) Example Netgear wgr614V9 etc.

Feedback. ( also need VPI/VCI of TataADSL BB connection for records )

( ADSLmodem+4LAN Port+ wifi router).
If Tata Engineer charges about Rs 250/= for installation , and promises future FREE assistance by the Company ( In Your location, or at their Exchange ) , you can opt for the model supplied by TATA Indicom.

Yes You rightly understood.Now the problem is Tataindicom customer care is not responding to this request so I am not able to understand from where to get this work done.

You can buy any model wifi router only ( cost approx 1500/=)
or 3in1 Cost rs 2500/= to rs 3000/=)

No problem. BUy any make according to your budget, and give details of model/number/make.
Refer link given in post No 4. ( also Beetel450TCI below )
will give step by step instructions if needed.

Keep present modem as standby. No changes now.
( if 3 in 1 wifi model is purchased )

Enquire in local computer shop.
( price may vary from Rs 1500/= to Rs 3000/=)
