Feedback about TATA Fiber Optic connection 2.5 MBPS Down and 1 MBPS UPLOAD in BLR

Recently I was told by TATA Manager that TATA wimax speed varies.

So they told me they will provide FIBER OPTIC connection if I pay 30000 Rs Advance Rent for Fiber Optic connection.

I have paid them 30000 Rs Cheque to install the connection any clue how is TATA Fiber Optic connection with 2.5 MBPS Download and 1 MBPS UPLOAD.

did anyone tried this.

I am also given a Gift coupon pay 500 rs and get TP link WIFI router.

feedbacks are most welcome.

They also say at the time of installation if you think speed is not good you can ask them to cancel the connection, your money will be refund is that correct ?

Doubtful if any other member will pay such a big amount as Advance.
The last mile connection is only copper wire from their Optical fiber cable Junction. ( limit usually 1 Mile ) confirm if otherwise.

As there won't be many users you can expect the speed promised. Is it U/L plan with FUP ( fair usage Policy. after say 10GB 20GB/month speed drastically reduced )

If your connection is just a rj45 connection better buy a standalone WIFI router.

Check speed from a distant server say in U.S!!!

Best of LUCK ! You have to deal with a company who can hire the best lawyers to avoid paying any refund at any cost , to "Protect' their Image /brand name !!! Read the small print !!!

All i can say is keep your fingers crossed and hope that their service is good. As you have spent a huge amount 30k in advance and tomorrow if something goes bad then you would be running around for service and refund in the end.

I am said that at the time of Installation, if I am not satisfied with the things provided I can ask for Cancellation, I am planning for the same if my Speed test result shows some bad ping or BAD SPEED I will tell them to cancel the line, they say that after installation only the Cheque will be sent for Clearence, so if customer is not satisfied he can ask for cancellation of connection and cheque will be returned to customer .

I am interested in UPLOAD speed, already I have BSNL and hathway both are not able to provide me good upload in BSNL in 4 MBPS plan I only get .3 to .400 Upload ...


As far as FUP TATA does have FUP but for this 5000 and even 9000 Rs monthly plan there is nothing called FUP. thats why the charges are too high

dushie what you said were GOLDEN WORDS...

I paid 13016 Rs Advance Rental for TATA WIMAX connection, as TATA was not able to provide me Fiber Optic connection due to High Tension Wire in my area, you will be Shocked to know I suffered a lot in this last 4 months.

Wimax used to come and go ... It used to work for 1 Hr and vanish for 1 day.

I logged around 10- 15 complaints, no one used to come to rectify the issue.

Finally my Advance rental is over this month and TATA is working Great since they started the Billing, seems there is some big Fraud going on in TATA ...

I advice my fellow members not to commit same Mistake what I committed..

I also wrote 2 mails to TATA Nodal officer with all my complaint no;s no one responded to my mail.

and SAY NO to TATA.

Sad, to hear about this, but generally have heard lot of horror stories about Tata communications customer service. Guess next time please don't pay a huge upfront amount, always better to go for pay as you go as you can stop and disconnect services anytime.

yes dushie what you are saying is 1000% correct, again TATA guys are approaching me to migrate from TATA WIMAX to Fiber optic again they are asking for 30000 rs advance as they are saying fiber optic cost them a lot.

I am planning to disconnect TATA and to migrate it back to BSNL as its cheaper and there also I am getting same story like tata frequent disconnection problem, but BSNL prices are too low and I can meet Exchange Head to rectify the issues, but in TATA I dont know whom to approach, once they take advance rent they simply vanish.

I am also shocked in my area Airtel and Reliance are not having Wired connection, its available around 400-500 meters from my house, both are not ready to Pull cable even if I offer them 1 Year advance rent.

As both reliance and Airtel provide cheap price and relaible speed compared to BSNL TATA or Hathway(sify), ACT is also in front of my house only 200 meters far but they say that our Area's are divided u come under Sify Area and we cannot provide connection

So what I can say is Sultanpalya is worse place to live for internet users as most of the good internet providers are not available here.

And BSNL exchange for Sultan palya is Worse in the city
