Thread: Feedback about TATA Fiber Optic connection 2.5 MBPS Down and 1 MBPS UPLOAD in BLR

Recently I was told by TATA Manager that TATA wimax speed varies.

So they told me they will provide FIBER OPTIC connection if I pay 30000 Rs Advance Rent for Fiber Optic connection.

I have paid them 30000 Rs Cheque to install the connection any clue how is TATA Fiber Optic connection with 2.5 MBPS Download and 1 MBPS UPLOAD.

did anyone tried this.

I am also given a Gift coupon pay 500 rs and get TP link WIFI router.

feedbacks are most welcome.

They also say at the time of installation if you think speed is not good you can ask them to cancel the connection, your money will be refund is that correct ?

Doubtful if any other member will pay such a big amount as Advance.
The last mile connection is only copper wire from their Optical fiber cable Junction. ( limit usually 1 Mile ) confirm if otherwise.

As there won't be many users you can expect the speed promised. Is it U/L plan with FUP ( fair usage Policy. after say 10GB 20GB/month speed drastically reduced )

If your connection is just a rj45 connection better buy a standalone WIFI router.

Check speed from a distant server say in U.S!!!

Best of LUCK ! You have to deal with a company who can hire the best lawyers to avoid paying any refund at any cost , to "Protect' their Image /brand name !!! Read the small print !!!

All i can say is keep your fingers crossed and hope that their service is good. As you have spent a huge amount 30k in advance and tomorrow if something goes bad then you would be running around for service and refund in the end.

I am said that at the time of Installation, if I am not satisfied with the things provided I can ask for Cancellation, I am planning for the same if my Speed test result shows some bad ping or BAD SPEED I will tell them to cancel the line, they say that after installation only the Cheque will be sent for Clearence, so if customer is not satisfied he can ask for cancellation of connection and cheque will be returned to customer .

I am interested in UPLOAD speed, already I have BSNL and hathway both are not able to provide me good upload in BSNL in 4 MBPS plan I only get .3 to .400 Upload ...


As far as FUP TATA does have FUP but for this 5000 and even 9000 Rs monthly plan there is nothing called FUP. thats why the charges are too high
