hai am sam from ap.am very much happy with bsnl only.i dnt like to tata.bcz there are not doing good in our state...

well my 1st post here..

alrite i've been using tata for exactly a month now and to be very honest wid u guys i dont find anything wrong with their services..
i am getting proper download/upload speed..
in my case as soon as i filled up the form and gave them a cheque.. they have setup the connection and installed the router with 2 days..
and from day onwards everythings workin fine..

hopefully shud remain this way..

i was getting a speed of 8kBps on my 64kbps unlimited plan....
now i'm getting 8kBps on 256 kbps plan also...

there is a difference of rs 350/- between monthly rentals of these two plans... which is exactly what would cost me for a new 64kbps connection which would atleast add another 8kBps to the total bandwidth... than fukin 8kBps (64kbits/s) on current 256kbps plan...

can anybody tell me if i'm eligible to complain about this to higher authorities or consumer court?? 256 kbps does come within TRAI's definition of broadband and they are only providing actual speed of 64kbps for 256kbps plan....

Congratulations for all you having the happy time with TATA broadband.

Most of you HAPPY guys might not have faced any technical problem of any sort like installation, instruments or network line, etc.

I would appreciate anybody who have faced any technical problem, got rectified happiliy within short time and with least effort.

I would also say the same thing till last month as I too was one of you "happy" guys till One month back untill i had a technical problem.

my Story starts as:

when I first applied for TATA broadband (sometime in mid november 2007), i was told that broadband is not availabe in my area. After following up, they got my address clearly and that my house is in the area where it was actually avaiable. Even in the next building it was availabe, it was 25th november 2007 by that time. Then somebody came to my home in the morning for veryfication and then i got the broadband installed and activated by 27th Of November 2007. (TATA guys were eager as i was one for them to cover their monthly target). I had choosen infinity-256Kb Plan.

Then there was one minor problem of bill payement in May. Even though i dropped the check to pay monthly dues "5 days" before the due date, the customer care failed to clear me that they had recieved the check. To avoid the disconnection, on the due date, i roam from one Tata shoppe to another to pay dues in cash then i was told that in Hyderabad only at the main shop in Ameerpet ( yes, there in only one shop in entire city), i can pay the bill in cash for the broadband. Frustating i came back and paid through my VISA card. ( i could do it earlier but i would miss this important information). Fortunately they got the check on the same day (till 3 pm on the same day they could not clear me) and made the payment in the night 10 in my account. So in that way i had paid for two month. I need not to say that for how many tiime i had to call customer care regarding this issue.

Then my main problem started last month. on 6th June, network went down. I waited for a day and filed a complaint regarding non-availability on 7th. Unfortunately it was saturday and after calling customercare 2-3 time, some techincal person visited my home after 4 days (yeah, saturday, i complaint, sunday was holiday, monday i called again and finally on tuesday they came). Then i was told that there was major network problem in the entire area and they were working on it, and it would by rectified within two days. It never happened and again calling for customercare some more times, i was told that my problem would be resolved in 10 days. I waited and waited, called customer care and those poor people kept on forwarding my complaint to the technical guys. When i told them to give me new complaint number, they refused by saying that system is not allowing for fresh complaint in my name. Then one day I mailed to customer care regarding the issue and i got the same reply that there is technical problem in the area. When i asked as in how many days it will get rectified, there was no answer and i got a formal reply everytime.
One day i was shocked to see a mail from customer care that my problem is resolved and they are unable to contact me. "Unable to contact me"?, am i on run from my home?, are my two mobiles not working? is my office number not working? is my mail id blocked? (this all data is with TATA in the user profile ) No... everything is OK and i hadnt got a single call from anybody from TATA broadband regarding this. They did it just to close the issue. After this when i called again i was given a fresh complaint number and nothing was done.
To cut in short, I didnt get the Link till today. I called to customer care numerous time. there is no reply except one sentence" Sir, im forwarding this complaint to our technical team and somebody will contact you. your problem will be solved on 24 hours",, and nothing else.

And, now today I got the bill for the last month. and i have to pay the dues for the broadband i didnot have to 3 weeks in a month.

I am still waiting for the link till this moment.

Its true that there may be problem on TATA broadband side and they may be working hard to resolve that. But at the same time, customer also suffers equally hard. That shows how much TATA care for their customer.
The victims are the customers (who neglect the rumours and give a try to the service), the listeners are the Customer care guys and the deaf are the technical guys.
I will update on this issue .....meanwhile i seek sympathy from you guys...

Default Finally I got it back....

Hi guys,,,me back to update...
Finally i got the service back...but that too is a intresting story.....

I fianlly decided to terminate the service after being frustated. So I called the customer care and "requested' them to deactivate the account. To my surpise within 4hr i got the call from VSNL that my account is deactivated.
(I never got a call for my real problem but so fast communication to termination.????)
However I decided to tell my story to nodal officer just to give a last chance.. They are really good as withing 5 minutes of sending a mail to them i got a phone call. A good lady called me, be that timing she had activated my account back, corrected my billing issue and asked me to give my available timing for a technician to visit and to see what is the problem. She later mailed to customre care group and some technical people. And when next day i mailed her back for my available timing ( I had to take half day off from my work), technician came and after couple of hours of his hard work, he started the service back...thanks to him. All that happened within two days. The problem that couldnt being solved in almost 1 month through normal procedure..was solved after interference of higher authority.

I think..the problem may be somewhere with bottom line people...

So my advice to all the people sufferring in the same way as me...follow my steps...you problem may get resolved.

Inspite of all these problem,,i would say Tata Communication is a good ISP...atleast they provide good bandwidth....better price that any other ISP..

same time i contacted TATA

Same i contacted Mr.Soham and asking for new connection.
he come down and collect details and still he is Mr.India
I call him , same excuse he told me that connection is full.
then he told me that i send you person for Reliance WIMAX


I also Contacted Airtel

They told me no Connectivity available

and the last one is BSNL
I dont have landline phone i am leaving on rent so i m not able to install it.

if any one have any good idea to
get broadband connection
which can be affordable near rs.500-700 Per Month
or any idea to got internet connection from Reliance or TATA

Please help me I am waiting for last 1 month..please

@designdhaval,

The fact that you are living in a rented place does not debar you from getting a BSNL connection. Apply for a BSNL landline and Broadband connection in the same application.

I am from CV Raman Nagar Blore. I submitted my doc's yesterday by 3PM, by 8PM i got a verification call from Tata. Next day at 8AM Tata calls me again, 10AM installation is all complete and I am up and running.

I was very skeptical about these services having just moved from the US, but I must say I am stunned with the Tata Service turn around time...I am a happy camper for now.. let see if the service stays as Excellent
