    Default Tata broadband plans

When it is time to switch over from dial-up internet connection to broadband it becomes important to look into various subscription plans. There are different types of subscription plans and a non-technical person can find it confusing. But to make things easier the service provider elaborates on various issues to make it convenient for the user. Some of the basic aspects to check while choosing a broadband plan are, firstly bandwidth, it is the internet access speed, as on date the current speed is 10Mbps. Very few service providers offer this kind of speed. The basic plan comes with a speed of 256kbps. Next comes download and upload limits. Despite providing unlimited plans most service providers put a cap on the download and upload limits. The basic idea behind this is that not to overload the server. The range can vary between 1Gb and 20 Gb. 1Gb would be sufficient for light users but heavy users can opt for 20Gb. Despite placing an upper limit it is advised to go for unlimited plan if you are considering heavy downloads and uploads. Thirdly, find out if the service provider charges extra for excessive usage. Since most of the plans are post paid there is no need to worry about blackout once you reach the threshold. Extra usage charges will be billed depending on the hours extended or the GB downloaded. If you want to save, it is best to opt for a higher plan where the threshold is high. Fourthly, check out for happy hours. Some service providers offer free downloads between 2 am to 8 am. This may vary from one service provider to another. Finally check if the service provider offers free email services. Get an exclusive email id on their mail server. Many opt for free email services like Gmail, rediff, yahoo, MSN etc but if you are looking for a personalized email ask for one. Keeping these parameters in mind you can select a broadband plan that suits your purse and requirements.
