1 mbps is pretty good speed but then Rs3600 for a month isint very pocket friendly unfortunately.
May be once other isps start offering 1mbps unlimited connections the prices will come down sharply as they did for 256kbps unlimited a year and a half ago

yup we will see for sure but prob is that the price at which we will be able to afford 1-2mbps untld speed will take some time...tata might bring down the price to 2.5k but still very few can afford that...

It comes to around 92 USD. 25 usd for a 1 mbps connections seems reasonably cheap to me, which country are you in, is it an unlimited connection or is there a limit for download/upload.

Biggest it country in terms of exports.....broadband work on infrastructure technology networks, optic fibres...and u know where we stand......

In it exports we pay hundred of crores as tax to foreign countires for building there s/w......but ask for subsidy and are provided.....No IT company all the biggies pay taxes.....though they have money to buy place at BKC mumbai but refuses to pay taxes saying it will hamper there growth though all s/w are build here

Launching a true broadband connection is a good thing but they still lack a lot in there customer care service which is not a good thing at all. I hope they would do something about it soon.

I don't think that TATA would do anything about the present customer care condition that much soon. They are mainly concentrating on getting more and more new connections. like this is what i feel.
