    Angry worst isp

    seems tata n sify will b completely tataed some day
    My observance says that whenever a non-IT manufacturing company ventures out atleast into Telecom/ISP biz/service,

    trouble is bound to occur(except exceptions like TCS etc...) god only knows why ??? but it holds true.

    Tata provides BB service through 3 technological branded name ways -

    1. Tata Teleservices (DSL technology in some south/central mumbai areas),
    2. Tata Indicom (their own ISP through LAN/Ethernet technology network, but which also has
    less/limited reach/feasibility related to physical cable layout) aka DishNEt DSL as many say
    3. Tata Vsnl BB, which most of us might be having [ yesss, many, infact most customers like u,
    might not be aware, but unfortunately & confusingly mistaken for tata indicom (thanks to the
    same tata guys, who are supposed to intimate the customers), again through the same
    LAN/Ethernet technology but physical cable & switch connections done by your local cable TV
    service operator, becos of their prolonged extensive reach since last 20 yrs]
    So whenever u have any internet problem, it is divided into 2 parts
    if its an external physical cable connectivity problem outside your home (might be inside also), then your local

    cable guy will attend it.
    but
    if the problem is on your PC, then only the tata indicom guys attend.

    So this means technical support (TSP) is divided into 2 channels, taking double the amount of time to rectify & u

    landing up as a frustated n angered customer.

    Tata is a company known to provide very good professional service @ a cheaper price (most of their non-IT companies

    like tata power,telco, tata steel. tata motors). but unfortunately doesnt hold true in the above ISP case, which is

    exactly opposite.

    Go for only, if u think, u dont have a better choice

    My brother has tata BB thru local cablewallah & he had recently renewed his connection by paying 400 bucks for the plan he opted, which dried out the same day since tata put a web-based login w/o intimating their customers & on calling them up, they say tht u mite have logged in to session entire day !!! ******* bunch of crooks, bastards n cheaters, i shud say, mr ratan tata, r u listening ???

    Well this is sad to hear... I was going to get there connection next month at my other house but i think that i would now change my idea and would like to go with some other ISP rather then this one.

    TATA is just lackign behind on one thing in every field and that is customer care service. Otherwise it is a great company with superb products at right prices.

    I would not say that they are the worst ISP but i would surely say that they truly lack in providing good customer care service and reliable and stavel internet connections,
