    Default Wimax connection unable to browse internet

    Hi,

    I just got my postpaid wimax connection and when I connect to my office laptop I'm unable to connect to internet. Installation guy could connect to internet from his laptop. I'm unable to understand how can this happen as I can connect through sify broadband also. The reason Tata indicom is providing is some office laptops cannot be connected. I dont understand. Can anyone help me with the situation.

    Thanks,
    Archana

    archanaela,
    After you assign your laptop the static ip given by tata for post paid connections, you should be able to get a login page whichever internet address you type. Only after you log in, you will be able to use the connection.

    I can help you. Paste your "ipconfig" output if you are using Windows or "/sbin/ifconfig" if you are using Linux.
    And let me know what exactly is the error message you receive.

    Hi Archana,

    Your office laptop must be having proxy settings in the Internet Explorer. Just check the following:

    a) Tools --> Internet Options
    b) Connections tab --> Click on Lan Settings
    c) Under Proxy Server uncheck the option "Use proxy server for your LAN"

    Remember to check it ON, once you get to office.
