This is only a basic Setup. You can change the values according to your wish and for more security. I have Initially tried with a Dlink router and it worked fine...The configuration is simple and straight forward in Dlink Router but I preffered a Cisco Router and purchased a LinkSys WRH54G model.
Follow the instructions from the router manual to change the Router Settings. Connect the cable from the PoE box "Data IN" port to the routers "Internet" port (Blue Port). Connect the LAN cable from the Ethernet Port (marked 1 - 4) behind the Router to your PCs network Card (RJ45 Interface). Once your Wireless link is UP you can remove this cable. Change the computer IP to 192.168.1.20 with default subnet mask. Open Internet Explorer and type 192.168.1.1(this is the default IP address of Linksys router)

If your PC/Laptop is not configured for a wireless connection, install the appropriate driver and enable the connection or take the help from the vendor. At this time you can remove the Input the key which you have entered in the router configuration page (Under Wireless security - key 1: ). To configure the Starmax box, refer to some other links given elsewhere in this thread. If you experience any problem, Switch off PoE, Router and computer.
