Thread: How is the speed for the 24-7 unlimited 128kb/s plan ??

...is it consistent?
How much is it?....... ...as far as i know u should divide the total speed should b divided by 8 to get the exact d/l speed. thus in this case it should be,
128 / 8 = 16kb/s....or more but not less.

so, is it any good? How is the service??

1.What is the total per-month rate for 256k unlimited- including modemrent & other hidden cost?

2.Does UTORRENT and other p2p network function properly?

3.What r the documents v have to submit for connecting?

4.In how many days do v get connected after applying?

5.Is it an online application or their person comes @ our place?

6.Is it monthly payment or do v have to pay a limpsum amount of 3/6 months in advance?

7.Do v have to drop a cheque at their place or their person will be coming at our place to collect the amount every month?

8.How is their after-sales service i.e, how fast/reliable are they in rendering service for our complaints?

9.Do they have LAN sharing network, i.e v can borg chat with other TATA users and share stuff among ourselves?

10.Is the speed slow in the day and fast at night?

No hidden cost but service tax at 12% and 3% education cess on Service tax amount applies.

You can submit an application online or call the sales center and a person will come back within a week with reply on feasibility, connection time, required documntation, first-time /one-time charges, etc.

Monthly payments, six monthly payments and annual payment options are available.

Cheque in Drop-box or direct debit only. You can also pay at their authorised centers.

Speed is expected to be faster at night.

It is my understanding that Tata-Indicom offers pre-paid plans only to Home users. Post-paid plans are available to business users.

i am a home user and have post paid plan .
atleast in my city it is available ( ahmedabad )

Apologies. Post paid plans are now available to home users also.

But I do think that BSNL is more value for money.

I used to get around 14-15kbps download speeds.
But recently for last two months, speeds have reduced, seriously thinking of changing to BSNL.

Go in for airtel much better Cost effective prompt Addressal Within A few Hours . Bsnl is also Good But you Have A problem With Connection No one To your rescue You Have to depend on Your Stars For Quick Addressal...................................

i concur with prashanth.....tataindicom really sucks buddy,i have bitter experience with tataindicom.....better be carefull and choose some other service.....in mypoint of view go for airtel. They provied you very good service.
