Question Please help me decide on an ISP

    Hi,

I want to take a broadband connection at home. I stay in BTM stage I.
Airtel doesn't have free lines down there & BSNL is a time-consuming affair.

Could anyone please help me in deciding the ISP I should go for?
    Sify, Tata Indicom or Reliance?
or do we have other better options in BTM Stage I?

Regarding BSNL, I am not sure, what all is needed and how much time it takes.
Also, I am not sure how the govt. system works.
If anyone can help me in this, I wuld appreciate it too.

Default tata is better than bsnl

I recommend you 2 ISP'S bsnl and tata indicom.

bsnl internet connection is good, but you will get a very bad customer service and no technical person too, once you get any problem, you have to make it correct your own only. I used bsnl connection from last 3 years, but find lot of problem every 2months, and disconnection regularly. Speed was good 256kbps, but whats the use, if your internet connection disconnects every often.

So now i changed by connection to tata indicom postpaid 256kbps. Speed is mind blowing. Service too good, The day i applied same day tata indicom person did all the setup. previously tata indicom speed and service was very bad, as you read in this forum, but now they improved it on a high level. Also in one of my post, i gave details on how to connect tata on linksys wireless and use one connection on more than 2 pcs.

I recommend you tata indicom only. Because you get 1 static Ip address free of cost.

    regards
    zia
