Angry Worst service guys be careful.

Hi,
I want to share the worst experience with tata broad band.so people get purdent about tata broadband.
ID : HSERIK
Complaint lodged: more than 10 times, the recent ones are 11/04/08,15/04/08,21/04/08
Resolute: Not yet been resolved and they don't care about.
Follow up: Thy don't bother to call us and inform,i found out many shocking information through tatabroadband ex- employee.i will share, keep reading the facts.

Fine,let me come to the point.Guys be careful in getting tatabroadband connection.They will lock you with many attractive plans but all are fake and hopeless service.i m facing uncanny experience with them.i have opted for postpaid plan.While getting the connection the sales executive informed me, if i go for 4 months package there is no installation charges ie is 2000Rs. Guys this is a warning dont commit.They simply lock you,coz whenever i give a call and lodged the complaint they simply dont care about,the reason is they have the money which i paid in advance.dont loose your hold by paying upfront.Also there is hidden charges.The 128kbps unlimited package cost Rs.3146 includes tax.But its not, the bill generated was Rs.936 for per month.i have a bill as a proof.When i inquired about the bill they tell all crap.
In two days time i faced frequent disconnection,Therefore i gave a call to customer care(60607070), belive me friends each time if i give a call, different Agents would receive the call.And cant speak to the CSR who attended earlier. each time i have to tell the same old **** to them.Top of that, the solution would be changing the ip address.till now i have spoked to more than 10 CSR ,Think about it......when i say im not able to connect they tell you in flippant "we can see that you were accessing the net". How irresponsible all these agents are. would i give a call to them and inform about frequent disconnection if it is working.They think i am a dumb.Once i blast them to terminate my account,immediately internet was working for few hours.No idea how this happened. again,if i call them up for the same issue,they tell the same old ****, without any solution.My dear friends till now i havent received any followup or service engineers attending my place.
One shocking news i came to know from one of the employee,did you ever noticed that tatabroadband has no toll free numbers.why?Do you think tata cant afford toll free number? its really funny,Coz they make money out of it. they disconnect the internet intentionally so customer would call 60607070 .friends this the premium call services....Whenever a customer calls up tatabrodband,they will get 50%of the call charges as a revenue.Remaining would be shared with provider.so they are making money whenever customer calls up!!!!!!!!! To call customer care It would cost approx Rs.20 to 30 depending on the issue and communication.So tata gets profit of Rs.10 form each customer. Then i remembered once i had a issue when i gave a call to customer care.The agent collected all the details and made to wait for 5 minutes then informed me to check the internet.he was sure internet would work, as he told it was working.....intentionally they do it.....TATAbroadband is a cheater.......Careful people.....
i have been using airtel for 3 year in bangalore never faced any issues though they had some problem with billing earlier but revoked.Airtel is the best service guys.Now i have shifted to chennai where there is no access to airtle,but i m changing to BSNL.

i had similar and much worse problems like you when i got my connection with them in the begining that was 1.5 years back. initial 5 months i have spent more money on the phone calls than paying them for internet. and then they put a wireless junction box in the corner of my street. the moment they installed it i have not had a problem with them. i had been through a lot with the customer care. but for past 4 months they have meta morphaized. i cant believe the change. ohh and i never called 60607070 from the begining i used 66600121. i dont know about the wireless broadband. but my wired connection is working good and i am happy for past one year. from 30 times in a month disconnections one year back... it has reduced to 1 time in a month.. on average for past 5 months i havent lost connection more than a couple of hours in a month. they seem to have been following up complaints now. when i call customer service they book the complaint and give me a complaint number ( and i can use the number next time instead of giving all the details). and their technician Anil ( thayagaraja nagar area) would attend me in the same day and resolve the problem. and next day they would give a automated call back to me if the connection is working . i was really happy with that. i cannot not believe how tata indicom has changed. i am starting to trust them.
i dont know about the wireless connection. and i am sorry you are going thro the trouble with them like i did initially!!. did you check how far is the tower from your house?
i was going to upgrade it to wireless next month. and i heard they give a static IP with post paid connection. i enquired about 128 kbps .. they said they dont have 128 kbps wimax connection. i think you are talking about the USB wireless ..

Hi, I used to use TATA wired broadband more than a year back. I had opted for the 256kbps unlimited plan, and i think the plan was Rs1200 at that time. Once the coneciton was installed it worked fine for abt 15-20 dyas, then i used to get disconnected for abt 5-10 days at a stretch. This continued for 2-3 month and on top of that i'm quite sure that Tata bills post paid unlimited plans in advance, i.e, u pay and then use.
I finally got fed up and did not pay them and stopepd using their conenciton.
And about the aread i lived in, it was one of the prime and posh localities of bangalore, and the roads and all were extremely good. so, i dont think frequent wire cutting etc could have been a problem.
I must add that the days it used to work, i used to get 90% of my plan bandwidth through out the day, no fluctuation duirng peak hours either.

@rocky_abhay your lucky and where do you put up.Yes i agree with you about the complaint number they provide for the future reference.But the problem is they give the same old useless answer""we can see that you were able to access the net".What should i tell them?

Three months back i shifted to chennai from bangalore. The connection which i m using is 128kbps unlimited broadband not wireless.Any ways i have applied for BSNL Broadband.The sad part of my story......i m using my friends internet connection to post this anguish message,though keeping my useless tata indicom connection at home.Hope all my arduous struggle will come to an end i have applied for BSNL.

According to my point of view not supposition, the purpose should be solved.Where tata broad band has failed in doing that.And i recommend all my fellow indiabroadband members dont even give a try tata unless they improve their service.How to find out this?
In my opinion.....
The answer would be.......
1. Toll free numbers should be implemented(Which increases the pressure among the company to give a better service because each an every call would cost for the firm.Which would be a loss for them.Therefore the result would be better service.)

2. Simple, they have to implement an international policy which states within 4 hours time the service should be resolved,if not in next billing cycle a denomination should be credited to the customers account.(Guys dont think its not possible in india.There is a company following it....off course Airtel.All Bangalore customers would be knowing this.
TATA has to learn from the fellow competitor AIRTEL.)

If they implement atleast above two option, we can trust TATA in getting better service, for that mater any company as well.

i am sure you are going through all that trouble with tata customer care hserik.
tata cc is gay when it comes to fixing the problems right away on the phone call. i was fed up during my first months. it was like this.. i call them and they tell connect cables properly, restart router, and then the DNS settings. and then they book complaint give number. but you wont believe they take more than 3 mins to check my DNS cables and router needs another 2 mins to restart. and they had even told me restart my computer! freeking was they would do that everytime i call them.
when i call them now if they start with cables or restart router i just tell them " look at my complaint number ( i have 72 complaints registered with them in 1.5 years and they can see that information), do you still want me to do that basic things" and they wont even say a word back they book complaint and say bye.
tata CC is just there to book complaint and forward the cmplaint to your technicean in your area. so the first thing i do if my connection goes wrong is i call my local area technician!!
once the connection was cut for 4 days on a stretch.. and CC tells complaint is still open we will come back to you shortly.. i was so fed up and i called the technician he would not pick the call... wow i decided to keep calling till he picks or his battery dies.. for some reason he was not switching off the phone.. i kept calling him like atleast 50 times i think !!!. lol
i did that to him.. but he is good guy.. i dont have problems now becose of him. i could give you the same advice of what he did to me

before that another loop hole of tata is ( i stay in bangalore not sure about other cities) if power goes out in your area.. tata router wont work in case you have battery back up. and you would get frequent disconnections becose the tata junction box could be in your adjacent area. DO you get what i mean? if power goes out in your adjacent area where tata junction box ( or the poll) is installed it means you wont have the internet till power is back in that area.
that was the mother of all problems why i was calling tata CC every time.. rest were cable thefts. and my technician did a good job for me.. may be becose i troubled him so much hahaha. what he did was to install a small sattelite junction box in my area. this box does not require those thick wires which are cut by theives. and now i wont have the internet only when power goes out in my area.
its been pretty good for me since this sattlite box came up..
and Guys i tell ya...rite now in india if we want to be connected all the time on net its best to have two internet connections from different companies hahahaa. who knows both of them would fail same time !!! i am planning to take up BSNL now along with tata. bsnl could give me the connection when tata fails

I to have same experience what u have. i am using tata internet from the time of dishnet, vsnl and now tata communication. and my trouble started when vsnl converted to tatacommunication. my internet is not working from 28/02/2008. and when ever i launched the complaint. they says that our system show that you are using internet connetion, there are uses are reflecting in our system. then i launched the complaint for tempeing of internet connection and u see the usages has been dis appeared in my acount details this is just for cheating the custmer to prevent from providng downt time to them. further still my complaint is pending with applet authority and no solution is been provided till date. further i m providing you toll free no. it is 18002097070 and belive me and appreciate my pacence that i have spokent to customer care executive for more then 113 times.

now i am plaing to forward this issue to consume cort as well to TRAI. I want your help if u or any one know about any procedure to make a complaint in TRAI?

thank you for helping with the tataindicom toll free number
and about going to the consumer court... when you really do put a case on them.. and when you win .. what would the court order be? what kind of compensation would the court order tata to give you. becose the court here does not care about the mental torture you go through unlike in USA. if there is a laywer who is reading this .. you could tell us what kind of compensation we would get if we won such cases against a internet company

Dear,
you are right that cour is lengdhy procedure. but we should not leave them.
i am sending the link in which the norm of refund, down time credit fault repair duration, etc. further if the cusomer care guys tell you that you account shows usages in our system you shurly launche a complaint for tempering of internet connection. and claim your service is not safe and get complait no. shurly they will not reply from next time that our system shows you are using internet connection.

Default Which one? Reliance broadband or Tata Wimax, your help needed

Hello
I currently use BSNL broadband (in Bangalore), but get frequently disconnected and would like to switch ISP, i have two options Tata Wimax and Reliance broadband. I currently use BSNL broadband with 2MBPS 4GB option and would be look at a similar option. Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated. I have read negative feedback on both Reliance and Tata wimax, so i am confused, any help in this regard will help me take a decision. Unfortunately Airtel does not provide service in my area . Look forward to listening to varied experiences good/bad.
