Thread: How to setup a WRT54G with TAD100 Modem?

Hi,

I have a Tata Indicom connection with a TAD100 ADSL Modem. It has been setup wuith DHCP and working fine.

Recently I bought a Linksys WRT54G router and I am really having a hard time connecting to internet.

When I am working directly on the Modem, I am getting the internet connection, but whn I am going through the router, I am not bale to access internet.

Can anyone please please help me?

What changes you made in your router?

Ok.
First bring your router to same network segment of your modem. Configure a static IP say 192.168.1.2 if your modem IP is 192.168.1.1.

Disable DHCP in modem because you are going to activate DHCP in router and do the same.

Connect RJ45 port of modem to WAN port of router.

Connect your computer to any network port available in your router.

Try browsing now

I have a Linksys WRT54G router and my Tata Indicom connection is a Static IP Address. I configured my router accordingly and it was working for the last 1 month. But since last 2-3 days i am unable to connect my laptop via Wireless. And when i connect the POE box cable directly to the laptop it works fine. Also the other desktop i have is connected by a LAN cable and its working fine. Can anybody tell me what to do !?!?! I am really frustrated & don't know how to get the wireless working !!
Also i have enabled WPA2-Personal Security for the Wireless network on my router + MAC filtering is enabled.

Hi All, I am using wrt54g on tata indicom BB, I have successfully configured router and is connecting fine.

I have to connect using web dialer, how can I configure router to dial out automatically??

Could you mail me the settings you have done in your Linksys router. I want to cross-check with the settings i have done !! I am unable to connect my laptop to the wireless network of my router.... but the LAN is working perfectly. Mail me on guptadiw at gmail dot com.

Look at the sticky threads in the BSNL forum (started by me) ... read the WRT54G part for settings.
