Angry How to set connection permanent

    Hi,

I am going to migrate from current windows xp to linux - fedora core 8. i have been advised that it is easy to get net boot and can install linux os itself from internet. For that i need to set my internet connection 'permanent', which may exists in tata indicom broadband DSL router. but i entered router thru browser and i could not see any such options available in router. can anybody help me in this regard to set my internet connection permanent instead of dialer client as i have in windows xp.

You must configure your modem/router in PPPoE mode.

If you do not know how to do that, please search this forum. There are enough article in this forum on how to configure modem in PPPoE mode.
