can any one help me how to configure configuring UTStarcom WA3002-g1 with tata indicom broadband.
can any one help me how to configure configuring UTStarcom WA3002-g1 with tata indicom broadband.
Please let me know the following: Does the WA3003-g1 modem have a WAN (RJ45 Ethernet) input port?
I suspect that the above router has only a telephone line (RJ11) input. If this case, you cannot use this modem/router with your Tata Indicom connection.
If there is a WAN input port, then using an Ethernet LAN (RJ45) cable, connect your TI modem (RJ45 output) to this router (WAN RJ45 input).
Configure WA3003 in bridge mode. Refer here: Initial Setup of WA3002-g1 ADSL Modem
You will also have to change the IP address of the modem from its default (192.168.1.1) to something else such as 192.168.2.1,

yes boss you are right...there is no wan port except the RJ11. this will not work. i need to change this modem to use it in bridge mode too. any way thanks a lot.
You can buy a wireless router from companies such as Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, etc. and you will be able to have wireless network at home.
i have successfully configured tata modem(billion) with bsnl and its working properly and now all i have to do is set the bsnl router (utstarcom) in tat successfully and i will let you know how i did it. to the best of my knowledge it can be done and i need few days to do it as i do not have tata connection right now with me as i am out fo baroda. will revert back soon.
thanks and regards
