Exclamation Plug 2 Surf Disconection Problems!!

    Hello Friends,

I hope and I really wish that someone could help me out with this. I have recently bought a Tata Indicom Plug 2 Surf USB Modem. After exactly say 15-20 minutes my internet connection gets disconnected and I have to reconnect it again every 15-20 minutes. I am sick and tired of this problem. If someone can help me out with this.

Also, the speed I am getting is very less. Because of the disconnection problems I cannot even think of downloading anything from the net.

    Please help me with it!!!

    Regards,

    Smit Shah

The plug to surf thing you are using is no better then a dialup connection... go for tata indicom photon if you want speed or reliance netconnect broadband plus for 3.1mbps speed. I have noticed that this disconnection issue is lesser with reliance.

Yes try reinstalling the client, which is sometimes the issue for disconnections!

Does your browser stop working or the actual internet connection gets disconnected?
The reason i ask this is because a colleague of mine had a similar problem, and he then tried his connection but also started his yahoo messenger the same time, and he found out that his browser wast loading but his messenger was working fine.

Now, there is a new problem with it..

Sites are not opening at all. when i tried ping, i am getting continuous error "request timed out". only when i open any website, i get this msg "request timed out". If i keep the connection idle (i.e if i don't open any site, i get msg "reply from ip address etc etc" but as soon as i try to open any site in the browser, it turns back to 'request timed out' .. i don't know why this is happening..

i hope, i have explained my problem in detail..

    please help!

    This may happen when

    1) you are out of Range
    2) There is malware in your computer

Check it in some other computer to see if the problem persists in that computer . If it does not , then your computer may be affected by malware

If the problem persists then check your connection in a different area to see if the problem is because of poor signal reception
