for pure data connections, Reliance Netconnect and BB+ both have volume based plans. But prepaid plans are available only for the Netconnect service.
In case Reliance BB+ is supported in your area go for it (Rs. 650/mth for 1GB @ average speeds of around 1.5 mbps, higher volume plans also available)

Actually I'll not be in da same city in which I'll be taking my laptop... Basically the thing is that I need to use it on the go... yea, its a pure data connection, but wid Broadband, i think I'll needa carry some boxes (read modems ) so thats gonna become pretty gruesome.. if its not so, please tell me!

For sheer good connection, a wired broadband outclasses wireless by 3:1.

Yes. I had realized that pb. But the thing is, all those mobile data cards (until now) never gave any speed. They are just meant to keep one in touch - mails, simple browsing, etc.

My comment was - if one wants speed and reliability, wired BB is the way to go.

Latency yes , economicity yes ....bandwidth No .... Only Airtel 8mbps gives a higher bandwidth than Photon and Netconnect broadband+

lol he is talking about Evdo .... USB broadband .... 3mbps wireless .... Roaming all over India free if you go for Netconnect ... uses cdma network so you can get BB speeds if theres a Reliance tower in your area
