Thread: Dont ever go for tata photon plus

I just want to share my experience with all the folks so that no body falls in the trap laid by tata...guys running tata photon plus are a bunch of crooks. They r just cheating customers plain and simple. I used to have 1100 MB plan and got proper speeds both in surfing and torrents though most months there were discrepancy in the total usage resulting in me getting inflated bills. So I switched to the unlimited 10 GB plan and shockingly I saw my torrent speeds getting drastically reduced to about 15kB/s whereas beforehand i used to get around 90-100kB/s. When I checked with my BSNL connection I got proper speeds. I took this up with the tata customer care. After going through all the inane and lame troubleshooting by various customer care guys with no result i was transferred to their tech department who proved equally worthless. Later they sent their so called engineer to my premise who deleted cookies and temp files from my lappy and made some setting changes as if those are going to result in better speeds, but still nothing happened, my torrent speed never went up. I was told i was getting proper surfing speed and they cant do anythign about the torrent speed . They just cant admit they are throttling the speed. So, I have decided i will discontinue their service forthwith and not be taken for a ride by a bunch of unscrupulous crooks.

So the moral of my ordeal is that tata indicom cheats their unsuspecting customers and I hope my experience will help you all avoid these cheaters.

though i know nothing is going to come out of it and i will discontinue the photon plus service after this billing month but still.....my tata indicom number is 9230029672 and account no. 933589657

sumanbhai trust me ... bcoz of the above reply by tata indicom member ... you will get a phone call from customer care and then they will raise a complain and give you the complain number and after 2 days you will recive the mail that the complain has been resolved and closed without even providing the resolution ....

if you try to discontinue the service , it will never be done ..I have been trying to get my service discontinue for the last 5 days but no one is responding ....

there tech department is also occupied by useless people who thinks deleting cookies is the solution of all problems .....

the modus operandi of tata indicom is to cheat people...they throttled my torrent speed bcoz i switched to unlimited plan and they were no longer able to send me inflated bills...so what they decided to do is to deny me even the 10 gb that i am entitled to under my plan...they know by surfing only you can never use up 10 gb...so the bloody crooks decided to throttle the speed of torrents...i dont care if they discontinue my service or not coz i m not going to pay these suckers anything...if they can cheat i am within my rights to withold payment.

sumanbhai .. even I am struggling with these people ...they r cheaters as they send inflated bills .....
now they r not even discontinuing my service .....im not going to pay anything to these people ....
but least I can do is to alert people usinng internet not to use tata photon ..if every frustrated user does the same , we can save at least 10K people from these bloodsuckers ...and may be in the long run , throw this product out of the market....

I could not agree with you more...exactly for the same reason I became a member of this forum just to let people know what kinds of arseholes these tata guys are...so that folks here can be aware and not go for tata photon plus...a product that is brought to you by tata with the motive to cheat out the customer of his money and give no service in return. Bandwidth throttling should not be tolerated and we as customers should stand united against this malpractice and avoid suckers like tata and we can make our voice heard loud and clear when their bottomline gets hit.

im not paying any money to these bloodsuckers.....if required I m going to consumer court ...

Tata photon + is absolutely pathetic. Their slogan is "get speed get time"...what speed? So,I'm supposed to work with 4-6kbps and save time? Forget about torrents,even surfing is a real nightmare with their BLAZING SPEEDS(sarcastic)!!! I wonder what will happen if a day ever comes when I use up the 5gb and it switches to whizzz....I guess I could go on a vacation and come back and the google page would still be loading.

Now I understand what they mean by saying "get time"......since with the appalling speeds they provide the internet is almost nonexistent...so you get more time to do other work.

I've read that thread. The guy was praising Tata(for a change) and the customer care bloke wrote "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you"
