Thread: Tata Photon Plus in Lucknow

I bought Tata Photon Plus Prepaid connection #9235888926 in Lucknow in August 2010 for Rs2500. After the initial free period of 30 days, this was literally tata (goodbye) phutto. Despite numerous complaints online and to their nodal officer as well as to DoT, it has continued to be a failure both in service and connectivity. In February these guys even replaced the USB device and made some system change in my PC and also installed a booster antenna but continuous connectivity has continued to plague me. All PC shops that I have visited have only one common comment about them "their service personnel are nincompoops". The problem is not at the customer's end but rather at their server end. They will make a visit to your premises at inconvenient times without prior intimation and just try to ascertain speed via speednet. net and email the same to their seniors and that is it. Ask them to try browsing any site for just 5 minutes to see continuous connectivity and they are just not interested. Though they supply and charge you for the USB, in their terms and conditions they state that they are not responsible for any problems with the device and that one should get in touch with the manufacturer of the same. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Mickey, what do you find abusive in my post? "phutto" in Hindi means "get lost" and "ta-ta" means "goodbye". Hindi is the National Language of India. This is least I can say about them for the frustration they have been causing me to date (one year) and they talk big of broadband speed of 3.1/1.8 Mhz and trying to push their TV connectivity too.

Well I am back after nearly three months of my original post after which I had for the nth time posted complaint # DARPG/E/2011/06347 on July 14, 2011 which as of date is yet Under Process. I then also made compliant # 343063 via their Toll Free number on September 1, 2011. In reference to the online complaint to DoT I have from September 28 started getting e-mails from their new Nodal Officer UP (East), Ms. Smriti Singh for an alternate contact number to my landline number of 0522 2441777. Well I again provided them with my mobile #9935007844 as an alternate which is already in their records. However, they keep sending e-mails ignoring my responses as if they have not received the same. I am not receiving any calls on my mobile number either. Is this tamasha only for the benefit of DoT so that somehow they can have the online complaint closed as they had done earlier? This time my online complaint is password protected.
