Thread: Effect of TATA DOCOMO

I have read in todays Maharashta times that TRAI has asked other telcom service providers to charge customers per second pulse.

I think its because of TATA DOCOMO. Keep rocking TATA

This would result in huge amounts of lost revenue for the mobile phone service providers and I am glad Tata's have started this price war which could result in another mobile revolution.
How cool would it be if this price war carrys on into the 3g space and we get some affordable mobile broadband plans in the near future.

I stil remember, i was the one who used AIRTEL GPRS Mobile Office plan which was costing 7 RS per day for unlimited usage.
It worked like charm and really enjoyed it on mobile as well as PC. Then they revised the rates to 15 Rs and then i shifted to BSNL.
Long back i called Airtel, they changed that plan to 25 rs per day and i even heard that this plan is now cancelled.

Now they offer something like 8 MB for 20 rs...

And talking of 3G, its still a dream. we still fight to get proper broadband in India. If we take a look at those living in US UK , they get 10 mbps UL at real cheap price. when compared to what they have, we should be paying around 400 rs for 1 mbps unlimited.

This is what the real picture here in India is.

But they are lacking call quality and that can be understood too, call drops a lot and call quality is also not there.

just think BSNL, a PSU is also following docomo's second pulse !!

these schemes are for those who talk less....
normally tariffs are around that 50paise per min....mark
on docomo tariff is 60 paise per min...i.e 1 paise per sec pulse...

local calls are 30 paise ...who is cheaper in almost all networks
