Tatasky+ STB Unavailable

    Default Tatasky+ STB Unavailable

    Hi All

    I have booked the Tatasky+ Set top box more than a week back.
    I was promised that it would be delivered on the next working day itself.
    At the most within 2-3 working days. Brilliant!!
    Today almost 7 working days later i have yet to see the end of the tunnel.
    The helpline exec says the delay is dur to unavailibility of the STB.
    Then why accept orders?
    they have already chrged the amount to my credit card and now whenever i call, they give no replies but say ' the system is being upgraded'

    I have a good mind to demand a refund

    BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE YOU ORDER

    i have my doubts too, i have been reading up lately and havent read about tata doing such a thing .. there have been few installation issues but majority of them have given me a positive review about them.

    Smile Tatasky+ is better, I have experienced..

    After changing my DHT box from Dish and Sun.. I have found Tatasky+ to be more better... service is excellent.. I never got such complaint.. but Tatas kept their words much before their committed time..!!!

    I believe Tatasky+ prices are slashed down too... atleast 40% from its price..

    I will give 5 ***** ...

    Yes this is a completely false imposition, from other Dth provider possibly. I have never faced much problems with my STB. I have also found the cc very helpful in solving my issue.

    Yep. even I think it's false info. Tata Sky Plus have this discount offer going on. So they are quiet quick in delivery and installation.

    In my opinion hardly anybody is buying their Tata sky+ as it is very very costly and Still they are in shortage of STB, AS 7 days is too much for delivery of a box, Even in dishtv they have free home delivery service where you book your STB through online and get all stuff and installation with in 2-3 days.

    Offers are on. Prices have slashed almost half the original price infact Co's raise price if there is a shortage. There is no shortage neither is the price very costly...

    Tata sky+ is giving great offers and its delivery too is quick with this seasons special offer.

    Thats really bad, especially when paying such money through your credit card too! Just out of the blue what price did you pay the original or promotional offer of Rs4999?

    Demand a refund if you want, and if you did place an order before the promotional offer then as for the offer price and be only charged for that, seeing they have given inconvenience to you and placing the order knowing that there are no STB's in stock! Speak to a manager, which they are most likely to say there is no manager available at the moment!

    You cannot get direct contact of the manager. Customercare would be the best option.

    Im going through a similar situation. While booking I was told that it will take 1-3 days and on 3rd day when I enquired they told me that it will be done on the 4th day. I was asked to be at home at 5pm and no one turned up. After making repeated queries to the customer care centre at arnd 8 I got a reply saying that this cannot be done today because "it is already late!!". After making the payment, I still have not got a call from anyone regarding the installation and customer care people themselves told me that the Bangalore Installation team is not responding to their queries as well.!

    Every time I got connected to some support agent and she/he transferred the call to another team lead or some other manager. Even they were giving me excuses like, "festival time", "no response from bangalore team" etc etc. No one gave me a correct time line as to when it will be installed..still waiting.
    (I have already paid 5K from my pocket.)

    It is better to go through a known dealer for these kinds of problems.

    TataSky must be out of inventory on the STBs. But you need not worry about your payment. You will get your connection. Only thing is that you will feel frustrated because you have paid and still not getting the service.

    If you feel you should, then you can cancel the order and demand a refund.

    Dealers should help out with these kind of problems. Tata Sky out of stock is impossible as they wouldn't have promoted that too with almost 50% off.

    I just called TataSky helpline and they told me that stock is NOT AVAILABLE. They had promised that connection will be done today morning at 10. I had to call them since I did not receive any call till 330. Now the customer support says "There is no stock available till day after tomorrow.". With day after tomorrow being sunday and monday being a holiday, I know it is a calculated response.

    And, it seems it will take 15 days for the refund in case I opt for it. So Im in a dilemma whether to cancel it or wait for the "stock" to arrive.

    Since this is your second post it is really hard to believe you could be one of the marketing guys of other Dth provider

    Finally I got the connection. The features r cool. My recommendation will be to buy the STB frm a dealer and then book an installation. Tht works out faster than buying the STB frm Tata Sky. U can avoid the pain of talking to their support team.

    Oh! Sorry for doubting you and yes Tata Sky+ is a really cool product with cool features. The dealers may help out some don't so it is also advisable to stay connected with Co.s service as far as after sale service is concerned.

    Default poor response from tat sky officials

    i too had a very bad experience with installation of tata sky+. i already had a tata sky connection and i booked for an additional tata sky+ for my second tv. i made a mistake of booking it through their website. the next day of booikng on the website i got a call from tata and the amount of rs. 4999 was charged on my credit card but i was told that installation will take 5-7 days. what the hell... i was told this after making the payment.
    any way 13 days elapsed and i still did not get my connection. several calls to the call centre and i was promised immediate action but my calls were in vain. finally i was told that it will take another 5 days.
    so i cancelled my order and i was told that even cancellation will take 5 to 7 days. great service by tata sky.
    payment is received immediately but refund takes 5-7 days.

    i plan to file a consumer court complaint for the harrassment netted out by tata sky people. i am just waiting for seven days to be over for my refund.

    Yes i have had similar experiences also.
    They are very good people till you make the purchase
    but after that their services dissappear, they keep transfering to other people to talk to.
    In the end we get fed up.
    Its not only tata sky but others do the same to.

    The offer being extended to 31st there are only few days that the offer will last the sale of Tata Sky plus has been on the rise so there could be expected delays.

    Well, I got the TS+ STB box from the Shop, and for installation I called up TS guys. That way I did not go thru the tata's sales team.
    I have been a TS user for past 2 years, and Have no complaints about their technical staff or their CC.

    Congratulations for your TS+ bypassing the sales team may be a good option but they too are helpful in providing sales offer and promotions.
