hi,
i just ordered a ts+ the day before. features sound really tempting. with live pause and programmable recording options. the pack looks really good. they promised me delivery within 2-3 days. customer service is not really great as i asked for the delivery but got the run around. some supervisory escalations in the contact center later, i got the guys to get home and get the installation done. there is this senior advisor by the name karan who is amazing and helpful. he got my stuff done in a matter of hours. so i ended up getting the delivery and installation (both are done by seperate agencies, so you need to book their time slots) done in one day flat !!!
the product is good and the live pause is kick ass !! however the programmable recording was some hangups and i am testing it. will post my observations on it some time.
as for the price, they have some offer before diwali where the STB is available at 4999 (+1000 extra for installation, which is waived off if you are already a tata sky subscriber) . you retain the price plan you are on ( no need for a yearly package commitment) and the monthly DVR subscription of rs. 50 is waived for life.

It is better to grab this opportunity during the festive season offer to derive the benefit of one time invetment. It has good feature to record and watch later as per convenience. :thumbup:

dear kavi,
i have just received delivery of the tatasky plus settop box and any day the installation will take place. I will certainly describe my experience once i myself get my hands on it. i bought it in Rs.4999 festive diwali offer and as existing subscriber i have to just exchange it with my present STB and pay nothing else.

dear ramesh sir,
going by this thinking, nothing else should be of any use. after all what is use of recorded music, movies, better products etc. etc. well i am a traveling exec. and fond of movies and good programmes like discovery, NG etc. i will record or ask my family to do so in my absence and then perhaps watch on weekends. if my kids have to study then they should only study in those fixed hours not bothered about missing a programme.
At rs.5000 only it is a fair enough means to keep recordings of up to 150GB

Considering how well a customer can exploit the features and advantages a product has to offer the product will be that useful like, pradeep said he is a travelling exec so this features of the product adds to his benfits.

dear friends,
today only my tsky+was installed, the dish was changed to slightly larger one and two cables are now coming into the TV. suddenly the picture quality has become stunning! though, i have just a normal 29in. samsung DNIE TV and don't know how much better it will be on LCD!
it really is wonderful so far. I have already recorded one 2 shows and watching one. My purpose was to fix up a study and a Tv time for my school going daughter, we have subscribed to topper learning also and would record those episodes (and of course, anything on NG, discovery and what not while i am traveling on offiicial tours).
I have not returned the old STB though the service guys were keen to take it away, i realized it is my property and if there is no loss in giving it back why to give! if i need another secondary connection, i dont mind giving extra activation fee to re install it.
would come back if i find any nasty surprises.

i hope you have taken the delivery of your Tataskyplus, have you?
i ordered it last thursday on helpline nos. and was promised everything fixed in one week time. i was debited the amt 4999 on same day (i took option of 3 emi from my ICICI card). on tuesday STB was delivered and on calling them today, the engineers have fixed up the new dish, new two cable wiring and the service is on now. The picture quality is real stunning and i have already recorded two programmes and right now watching one.
Do describe your experience if you have received and installed it. rgds/pradeep

It seems tomorrow is the last date to avail of the special offer.

There is something better than religious channels activ Darshan is an activ service with this you could devoutly watch religious series.
