Is it true that tata sky clarity takes a beating while it rains?

This query has been in my mind since a very long time. I had read in another technology forum too that all the DTH services are interrupted by rains and clouds. Was wondering whats the logic behind it..
When it rains, initially for few minutes it takes a beating. after that there shouldn't be any issue.
Does the service get affected by rains?
A few minutes of outage might occur during rains. This phenomenon is called RAIN OUTAGE and occurs in DTH platforms across the world. It will result in your television losing reception for some time. We have tried to cut down this time so it might happen only for one or two minutes in a year. This too is automatically detected and gets corrected by itself.

The issue with rains is due to technology issue. All DTH providers, Dish TV, Airtel, Big TV and Sun TV have problems during rains. Its not just with Tata Sky. It happens for few minutes during heavy rain.
nothing happens to tata sky clarity due to rain. the signal may get blocked for some time because of rain and it is common for all DTH services.
