I was browsing through the Tata sky website and I saw that they have added a new sports package. It was not there yesterday. It is called sports bonanza pack and it costs Rs 1350 per annum for 6 sports channels. Check their website out in packages page. Looks interesting.

Here's the current cost for the sports channel:

Neo Sports & New Cricket: Rs 40/PM
ESPN,Star Cricket & Star Sports: Rs 65/PM
Ten Sports: Rs 15/PM
ESPN,Star Sports: Rs 40/PM
Star Cricket: Rs 25/PM

If you opt for all the sports channel, then it comes to around Rs 120 per month (40+65+15). That is Rs 1440 per annum.

The new package "Sports Bonanza package" costs Rs 1350 per annum.
Savings is Rs 110.

Currently I am having only ESPN,Star Cricket & Star Sports pack. I havn't subscribed to Neo & ten sports.

The current India-SRL series is shown live on DD...So no need to opt for the Neo package.

My suggestion is that opt for the channel only when its required.

this package is of no use ... earlier i was subscribed to all the sports channels, but recently i unsubscribed neo channels and ten sports ...

But there are people out there who are totally into sports and would want to see all the channels. This package is for those avid sport lovers. They are saving around Rs 110 annualy.

can we subcribe to this pack for a single month?

As many operator like Airtel DTH have a pratice to mimimun hire piriod of 6months

It is an annual package so you cannot subscribe it for a month. Also, this package is not "worthless". You should not make such sweeping comments. There are people who watch all sports channels and this package is for them. It all boils down to individual choice. It is a valuable proposition for hardcore sports lovers.

thats not true..i dont think its useless.. a couple of my friends love catching up on all kind of sports tournaments and they have availed for this pack.. plus about 113 a month for 6 channels is not on an extreme side..
