Thread: Tatasky signal distrupted in Gulf

Hi, Any idea whats happening with Tatasky? The signal is lost in Gulf countries. All the News channels are gone and many regional channels are breaking..

I don't think that TataSky is legally approved for use in the Gulf - though they may be a few who are using it.

Viewing Tata sky in Gulf is not legal, buddy

I even read news reports that TV receivers were being banned at Dubai and other Gulf airports. Its because people watch Tata Sky, Dish etc... dirt cheap compared to other channels. Out of curiosity, how does it work??? Where do these people in gulf pay their TS bills. Do they give addresses in India?

either that or some TATA sky agents are working a hawala network.

Simple. They do not pay at all. People are misusing it because the footprint of the satellite extends up to the Arabian coast too

Its very simple, keep paying from India, as you will have an Indian address and contact anyway.. people carry it from India most of the time, after regsitering and installing it here. I think Dubai has banned it because they dont want to loose the business of their local dish network called Pehala which is very expensive and do not provide the Indian channels we want...There are no such bans I heard from other gulf countries...
