Most of the tamil channels are missing...............
they r not providing music channels like zee music, music india, enterr10, raj music,B4Umusic,and so on...........................
we should give pressure to them................................

Agree with u entirely I had raised the same issue on my thread "bias agaist kannada channels," but some elite members of this forum such as saurav_kataruka shot me down giving insane reasons for not providing new channels on tata sky. While many nonpopular channels are finding place in tata sky, many popular tamil, kannada and telugu channels are not on tata sky.
May customer of your breed increase and demand what you like to see than see what they offer to you.
can you link to the page where saurav had give you such reason...? i dont thing saurav will give any reason without thinking on it.. i am not entirely on his behalf too...
anyway...
the reason why channels are not being added is TATA SKY is not getting so much of profit...(i am a dealer for it) to take the regional private channels it needs lot of money (average 25 lkh/month). Tata sky at this moment is not generating so much of revenue hence they are postponing to buy the rights to show their channels.... hope someday they will.

yep i saw all the posts there but i didnt find any "insane reasons" by saurav ... sorry bro but that word "insane" doesnt fit anywere... you both & others too are just saying their opinions thats all.
What reason saurav gave is infact correct.. the cable guys provide much regional channels because they are providing only in your area that all... they are not providing J & K, MP, TN, Karnataka at the same time...!
dude its very huge investment to get one channel also, its correct what you are asking, what they provide in other states does not matter you but you got to have patience dear... you can ask for more its your wish...
I know they will provide it someday but have to wait thats all....!
Kirankumargb, your reply is very fair and balanced. Good work! I have come across many such issues like "biased towards tamil channels...." "biased towards kannada channels..." " biased towards oriya channels etc...." . Its important to remember that no provider can give all the channels. It depends on the user demand. As days go by, I foresee more regional packages targeted at regional audiences. But I think this will take some time. There is no point in blaming tatasky alone.
MGM and TCm have signed some kind of exclusive deal with DishTV - no idea for how long and hence these channels appear on DishTv only.
I understand that DishTV is asking a hefty price for Zee channels to TataSky because TataSky is in turn asking a hefty price for some Star channels. So DishTv has dropped some channels from the Star package and converted them as a-la-carte package.
No DTH provider is perfect.
