    Default Wierd Numbers

    whats with the wierd white numbers in a small blue box that keeps appearing on and off..its so irritating..it comes on every channel often...i called up customer care they told me its from the broadcasters..
    how can that be possible coz the number is same in every channel??
    also they told me something about anti piracy..
    any one of u getting those numbers??
    how to get rid of it?

    P.S. siganl strength and quality both are excellent..

    Wierd numbers are a dRM (digital rights management) measure. It is supposed to identify your signal id. It is alos supposed to thwart and catch pirate cable operators who steal DTH signal.

    how often does it appear on the screen in an hour??nd is there a way to get rid of it..coz it stays for quite long

    no way to get rid of it. It comes on tata sky atleast 3 times an hour.

    I have noticed that it comes on other DTH networks as well and I even remember seeing it at a friend's place on hathway cable.

    These numbers keep appearing on all DTH platforms. If I remember, they appeared on cable also.

    But in UK and USA, they never appear.

    I think they appears in all DTH services. It is to check if rogue cable operators are not illegally stealing transmission.
