What is new about this? I thought that this option was available long back with TS.
This is actually new to me!
What is Itz.. How different is this payment from creditcard?
ITZ Cash Card is like a pre-paid card carrying a monetory value. It can be used for many purposes. The most popular use is the DTH subscription payment.
I don't think any thing is new in this, Dishtv is already using ITZ cards since long back.
ITZ multi-payment system makes it more conveniet for various payment alongwith Dth payments. It is a very handy mode of payment.:thumbup1:
In fact it is not handy at all.
It happened to two friends of mine. While trying to recharge their connection, the system messed up. The ITZ card was used up but the system was not showing up. It took four five days to resolve it out.
I would still prefer a cheque or a credit card.
I use my dealer to do the stuff for me. I just give him the cheque and he does all the recharging for me. Once I used online services via Credit Card.
Call me old fashioned or whatever ...![]()

I call myself old fashioned because I feel really uncomfortable with all this online transactions. Even after having travelled abroad so much, and having conducted online Credit Card txns, I do not feel safe - especially for the first time.
The ITZ cards are like blank cheques. If they are lost, there goes the money in the smoke. At least with CC's we can report loss.
That is also one reason that I do not like ICICI bank. There is no personal touch. The in-bank experience is horrible.
But I am getting offtopic ...
My suggestion for all DTH subscribers - find a neighbourhood dealer and establish a relationship with him. It will be much easier to sort troubles out.
Distributors dealers often claim to be third party and in case of problem they tell us to get in contact with the company official. Customer care are reliable source of help!!![]()
Yes. I was talking about dealing with distributors for payment related matters only.
For instance, for all installations, recharging, etc. go through the dealer/distributor. But if there is a problem with a channel or subscription, you will have to contact customer care. The dealer would probably do the same. In such cases, self service is better.
However this is the sixth mode of payment to be opted for apart from the five provided by Tata sky.:001_smile:
