Tata Sky have increased their price of Super Hit pack to Rs.160/-.

Earlier it was rupees Rs.125. So a total price hike in this base pack is Rs.35.

They have Added 3 channels to this pack Colors, Filmy, Sahara one to justify their price hike. But in fact these channels were not worth for the money they have increased and not justifying the increased price.

Tata Sky is now just looting their customers by providing more costly base packs, first they already have costly packages and add-on packs as compared with other DTH players.

if you compared it with other DTH then Now tata Sky have most expensive base pack and not value for the money.

In a way the cost could be said that it is justified as one will not have to go for an add-on pack. The price is high for a base pack more channels could be added in the base pack.

If i need Bindass, 9X, Zoom, NDTV Imagine, then what ????????????? In that case i have to go for Life style gold pack and if i am having Super hit pack. Then that means i am paying twice for Colors channel which is costly.

Why should one pay twice for colors????????

In a way meant, if someone wanted colours he will not have to go for an add-on lifestyle gold pack and if someone wants other channels in lifestyle goldpack then one may go for it. But in lifestyle pack you get other channels too.

Your Answer and logic for justifying the price doesn't fit here.

First, if am not wrong Life Style gold pack before colors added in this pack costs Rs.30 and after colors added it cost Rs.45 So in a way Rs.15 will be charged extra for this channel. Now if some body choose Super hit pack and life style gold pack then in a simple calculation he is paying twice for colors. One for life style gold pack and second increased price of Super hit pack due to colors channels.

The more I hear on Tata Sky pricing, the more it is alienating itself.

People who are already subscribers are being made to pay heavily.

Defenitely Tata Sky is Charging very heavily to their customer. Their base packages and add-on packages are very costly. Even when all dth have minimum base pack from Rs.99 to To Rs.130, at that time Tata Sky id Charging Rs.160 for the same minimum base pack which seems to be very costly

All other base package is disappeared except anual maga pack, if you subscribed previously any package anualy or semi anualy
you have only one option, you have to continue with same or choose anual maga pack. Other packages are removed from the list

It sounds a bit ambigous could you explain your concern? here is the link to Tata Sky packages Tata Sky’s New DTH Packages With More DTH Paid Channels, Sports Platinum Pack, Sports Gold pack, South Value Pack, Educational Gold Pack and more and you do have an option to downgrade.

TataSky has the habit of re-configuraing (and re-pricing) packages at will. I know that all DTH providers have this clause but others are not arbitrarily doing this.

TataSky has given the option of annual mega-pack where they say that:

- all channels under the TS banner will be on offer
- all channels that get introduced will be added automatically at no extra cost
- the user will be protected from any price increase for the duration of the year.

So what Chandrashekarkp is saying is: if you wish to have uniterrupted viewing, this is the only option with TS; else live on the whims of the provider.
