Tata Sky Slipped from No.2 To No.3 Position

    Default Tata Sky Slipped from No.2 To No.3 Position

    Hello All,

    Today while i am reading an article (In Brand Reporter- Magazine) where its mentioned that Sun Direct is Currently at No.2 Position among all DTH.

    That means Tata Sky now have slipped from its No.2 Position to No.3 Position. I believe its also just because of Heavy looses incurred by Tata Sky in last few years. As per the latest news published few days back that Tata Sky incurred net loss of Rs.806 crore. Also due to high subsriber acquisation cost and might be their higher packages prices will be a reason for that. Also i believe in the coming years these losses for Tata Sky were further increased and Tata Sky might further loose their NO.3 as well.

    While if you see Currently Dishtv is the leader in the DTH market with over 6 million subscriber and is way ahead of their competitors like Sun Direct and Tata Sky. Where Sun Direct is No.2 ans Tata Sky at No.3.

    Is it the sales position because in comparison the sales of current season has showed a good trend and it will not loose its position so easily.

    Its as per the basis of total number of Subscribers.

    As i said earlier Check the Link and quote from Tony D Silva, Where he is clearly saying that Sun Direct is No.2 Now.

    It is not about the fast sales it is about the after sale experience and Tata Sky provide good service as I have found the customer care very helpful.

    I am Also a tata Sky Subscriber, and havn't have good experience from Customer care.
    Don't know about your Experience, but my is certainly not good.

    And No. of Subscribers is very important for a company. Only after sales service cannot make a product or company at top. And i believe after sales service of all dth are same.

    It was expected that Tata Sky will not maintain their position in market and can come down quite fast. Now they have lost No.2 position and soon they will loose their current no.3 position as well and the most important reason for that is Tata Sky have very high cost pakages and add-on pack.

    This is true.

    The proverb goes as "Qualitycomes at a price". Agreed. But at what cost? The amount charged by TataSky is very exhorbitant. (On another thread I gave the cost comparison between TataSky and DishTV).

    No! service level of all Dth are not the same they differ and as far as I have heard many users have good experience with the level of service Tata Sky provides.

    Yes the customer care of Tata Sky is good compared to Dish tv. One of my friend who wanted to book a new DishTV connection called Dishtv CC he got through after an hour and the agent replied find out from your local market. This is not the type of service that is expected

    Well How he want to book connection.....because if he wants home delivery .. then new connection is installated and activated in max of 24hrs .

    Installation, activation and home delivery is far from topic as they mentioned find out from your local market they did not mention any option of home delivery neither product information was passed. It must have been the CC representatives last call of the day.
