Thread: Actve English: New active service added on Tata Sky

Tata Sky has added a new Actve service called Actve English in it's bouquet of interactive services. The description on the site is as follows:

"This service will help housewives improve their English conversational skills, vocabulary and pronunciation from the comfort of their homes, at a time most convenient to them. With Actve English, they can learn how to converse confidently in English in day to day situations like PTA meetings, malls, banks etc… and many more. The medium of instruction for this service is Hindi. Lessons learnt through the week can be revised on weekends. The content for this service is provided by British council."
This service is is FREE upto 31 December, 2009.DTH - Tata Sky Actve English - Enhance your English conversational skills

Another Dent in Customers pocket after 31st Dec'09.

That clearly means This is a paid Active Service and right now available for free preview till 31 dec'09. That really not a good info for Tata Sky Subscribers.

Tata Sky is the only DTH player charging for their active services too. Even Dishtv have better services but won't charge for any active service.

It has a fair enough trial period during which prospects who are keen on taking a look into such service can decide whether a not they should go for it.

This is just a defensive statement in support and justifying Tata Sky's wrong move, But its really not good for Tata Sky customers as now they have to pay more if they want this service.

It is not a new thing paying for active service. Atleast the trial period will allow user attemp in getting familiar with the service at, the end the choice is of the customer. Also the service should be utilized to the fullest until its available for free.

I have nothing against these Actve services but only the really naive people will pay for such services.

And if it is for free people will not be naive? Customers (People) are wise and also the king of the market so they will choose even if it is pay the reason behind them paying will be they require a paticular service hence they are acquiring it.
