    Default Tata sky employees are a bunch of thieves

    I recieved a call from tata sky asking me if I wanted a multiroom subscription as it would only cost Rs1500 with no installation charges and I agreed to it.

    Two days later I got a call from their engineer askimg me when he could come and I said you could come anytime you want.... Two guys arrived in a few hours...

    All well the horror and deciet starts after that...

    I was promised Rs1500 for the box and this guy hands me a bill of Rs1599 and I said I was promised 1500 and he said thats for the old box and I said alright give me the old box as there is no difference in features as far as I understand as picture quality will not change with the newer box... So the guy said saab it would take 2-3 hours for me to go and get it for you and I said alright leave it and I will pay Rs1599 whcih I shouldnt have in the first place... OK that was that now he asks for another Rs200 saying the cable exceeds the max limit they are allowed which is 15 metres as per him and he says he used 27 metres... There is no way he could have used 27 metres of cable.

    The tv is on the first floor and the dish is on the second floor ... 27 metres? I said lets go and measure it as I have a long measeuring tape that you use to measure plots of land and he backed off and said ok lets scrap it... I knew it cannot be more then 12 metres as I already have a tata sky and airtel dth connection and none of them asked me for extra month despite the fact that cables used in both the previous cases was much more then this time.

    All well.... I forgot about it not about 10 mins ago a message pops up my tv saying "Non std inst 2 Rs (-) 200

    Thats Rs 200 the son of a bitch was talking about he just added it to my account some how....


    Tata sky sucks and their employees are thieves.


    Again I remember the slogan I wrote when I had trouble with Tata wimax... Gali gali mein shoor hai Ratan tata chor hai.

    I just hate this TATA Group, there are many reasons and something personal too.

    They just think of their profits nothing else, such a mean comapny this time they didnt even think of mother nature and Olive Ridley turtles. They are constructing a port at dharma, orissa which is going to effect the nesting ground for the Olive Ridley Sea Turtle, a species classified as Endangered.

    I think we would have to delete these two id's which are created by Tata sky employees hired specifically to spread false roumours about how good Tatat's services are when they are not.

    Tata sky is loosing their market share to other DTH providers... If this issue doesnt get sorted I will get a SUN dth connection instead of putting up with Tata sky's day light robbery.

    I was given this complaint number with a promise that the money would be put back into my account within a few hours and I am still waiting....

    The complaint number that I was given : 1-5691831109

    Going by the previous history I have had with Tata group I dont think getting my money back is going to be an easy task but I am prepared to file a case against them for Rs200 + the 99 extra they took from me for the box despite their call centre advising 1500... I know I dont stand in court on that 99rs thing but the 200 rs extra they have charged they have no way to prove me wrong as the cable is at my place and no where in my house can any one use up more then 15 metres of cable starting from the tata sky dish on terrace....

    Gali gali mein shoor hai tata sky chor hai.

    OMG Vaishali and Vasundra are the same........no wonder Vasundra was going mad praising Tata Sky................if they are employees of Tata Sky then they got a lot of pleasing to do to their customers. I know I wont be getting multi room now, after what happened to Parminder!!!! Might as well go for some other DTH provider.

    Tata sky backed off.... Rs200 are back into my account as some one there read this post probably vasundhra/vaishali who to me look like tata sky employees...

    The guy who called me up requested me to take off my thread on this forum and I said that this thread is going to stay and if I wouldnt have called up tata sky and posted this thread here I would'nt have lost Rs200 and what about the amount of time I spent writing this thread and the money I spent on phone calls and the reply was sir call ka paisa refund nahi hota...

    Why not? Why not be honest in the first place then there would be no need for customers like me to call tata sky to ask for a refund.


    I still hear some shor .... Tata sky is chor.

    I cannot prove that Vaishali and Vasundra are the same. But consider the facts:

    a) Vasundra was active for quite some time till she was kicked off the forum
    b) Vaishali started posting as soon as the other 'v' was debarred
    c) Same writing style and English
    d) Same praising of TataSky so much so that it became a rhetoric
    e) Posting of each and every offer from TataSky
    f) Justifying paid Actve services - saying that they are so good for the consumers - (I wonder who watches these paid active services)

    I know for a fact that there are many employees and contractors hired by these companies (DTH, ISP, Cell Phone providers, etc.). Their job is to log in to forums and start promoting their products and rubbish others.

    I sincerely do not mind someone praising a particular product/service. But this should be done with a balanced thought.

    @preeti, TataSky multi-room offer is better than going after any other DTH provider, ESPECIALLY IF you are already a TataSky subscriber. This is so because it is only Rs. 125 per month. If you choose some other provider, you will have to pay the full subscription price.

    This has happened with me couple of years back in Pune with Tata Broadband. I applied for a connection and the employee ran away with my Rs. 750 bucks. I complained but no action was taken. Everytime I got a reply that your money will be refunded or you will get a connection soon. I had to shift from the city and hence, stopped pursuing my case..

    Gali-gali may shor hai, Tata employees chor hain.

    @ itsmemad In future if you ever have such an issue then do not step back and take nonsense lying down.. Shout your thought hoarse over it even if its a matter of 50 paise.. People like you and me can bring about a change in the way a customer is treated in our country.

    If you ever have an issue then make sure you at the very least create a stinking thread on our forum and send me a PM to make it sticky till the issue is resolved to your satisfaction.

    Really very shameful. In my case during installation i asked the guy what are the charges for non standard installation, ie >15mts according to their website, he was of the opinion that it has been changed and its now 12mts only. 12-15 will cost 50rs and 15-25 will be at 100. i felt like calling up their cc but that would be another 15 minutes wait (their average waiting time+actual call) so i just thought what the hell...leave it.

    The installation took up 15mts of wire... now the question of 50bucks. The guy then asked me that i'l have to provide 200bucks, 150 for recharge and 50 for the 15mts(??).. i was in no mood of haggling by that time and just gave the money thinking 150 will be recharged, but to my surprise 200 was put in my acc the next day..

    So what the hell was all the misleading information about i really became confused and frustrated by them...but at least i wasn't overcharged

    On top of that the ESPN+Star Sports pack was not being activated even though i had bought the connection with the offer of the pack being free for 2 months, when i talked to the cc the guy outrightly refused telling me they don't provide ESS for free in any offer.. i then talked to the installation guy at least he understood and told me he'll do something about it the next morning.. i also filed a complaint with them through the online account management...

    It was after all this that the pack was activated free and then also received a call confirming whether the pack was activated or not.

    All this drama on the first day itself...just a shame but at least things worked out in the end but its totally unacceptable that a customer should face such things and such unprofessionalism by them when he's paying more than any other operator and putting up with their crappy (yet very beneficial for them) addons for a few channels which are unavailable with others.

    StarK Could you please double check that the Rs200 was put into your account and not charged? It is pretty confusing the way they write it so I suggest you have another look and if they have charged you Rs200 then give them a call to put it back into your account.

    Admin i am absolutely sure that 200 was put into my account sometime on the next day. Checked again, its showing up as an EVD Payment (whatever that is).

    Tata sky is cheating left right and centre.. adding packages to my account without and request or intimation and then refuse to refund the money they took away from my account for a service I never asked for... some stupid fun learning **** and some active english crap and they say they gave me a trial offer which I was never told about and then they continued to charge me for it after the trial ended... I only found out a couple of days ago and the bastards refuse to put the money back into my account... not just that I was paying Rs750 something per month for stuff they had put into my account for no reason and I have never requested any of those things.

    Tata sky is a chor company. I am not going to continue with tata sky if they do not refund the money they have stolen from my account...

    I would suggest to stand and settle. I made few mails from Hyderabad to them for not adjusting pending money while i shifted to annual plan. later a lady called me from Bangalore, and told that the procedure is such that after the year, you would be back to old balance and continue from there. I wondered who would pay interest for my blocked amount. At least i did not loose the amount.

    same happened with me but for airtel broadband and the amount was 600.
    in our colony there was no airtel line as every body has BSNL since long.
    later,They refused to put over the roof line.

    I could recover that money as my friend was holding managerial position that time.

    my neighbour had paid the amount by a cheque which was never deposited in the bank.


    Morale: Always pay such amount by cheque and just because they are giving u receipt dont pay cash.
    receipt is jsut a scrap when he returned me money he did not even asked for
    the receipt.

    Gone are the days when tata group was synonymous with integrity.
    They dont have control over grass root level employees and associates.

    similar in case of tatat indicom too.

    I was thinking of migrating to TAtat sky, but thanks to your posts, I shall continue with my dish Tv.

    i had a similar experience when they came to install at my place, but the cable used was above 27 meters, from top floor to 1st floor. The guy told me about the same charges. I said i am an old customer see what you can do. He asked for Rs 100. I paid him upfront and the matter was settled.
