Thread: Tatasky+ HD Availability

When will Tata Sky + HD be available widely.. I have a 40" LED Tv, I have been waiting for months for tata sky to bring in HD to my locality (Howrah, near kolkata) , I'm thinking of getting videocon or airtel now.. my friends in kolkata already got HD.. I live 15 minutes drive away from their home and I cannot get it.

Does anybody have any info, when will it be widely available.

The availability is not as per city area. If TS+ HD is available in the city, it is available to everyone in the city. The problem could be that there are not enough equipment available. Have you checked with the customer care?

Yes have called customer care / sales department and also got called from tata sky after giving number in their website, both have confirmed that the device cannot be given in my location, but if I wanted to install in Kolkata I can. I even told if I give a kolkata address and ask for transfer immediately will it work, they told no it won't work.

Feeling sad, if I have to switch to something else I guess I will go over to videocon

This is baffling to say the least. Any reason as to why they cannot provide you service in your location?

I'm also baffled, they say the devices are limited and avilable only for kolkata installations, I guess just some kinda company policy

this is absolute nonsense... it just looks like a type of reservation for the important customers ie. Kolkata city customers...very disappointing!

I dont understand why the transfer idea wont work?

same thing happened in my case also.. i live in mysore and was told u cant get tata sky+HD in mysore and only TS HD is available here. however both r available in bangalore abt 120 kms from mysore. and transfer from bangalore was also ruled out...
