    Default TATA-SKY HD DVR compatible

I am propose to buy a TATA-SKY HD DVR
    Now my question-

    1) Is TATA-SKY HD DVR compatible and can display the HD video content, with my current monitor Dell ST2220L by HDMI cable ? For audio I will use Altec Lansing VS4621 speakers.
(Dell ST2220L has HDMI & AUDIO OUT port)

    2) Is TATA-SKY HD DVR connect to a P/C without TV TUNER card ?

    3) I heard TATA-SKY HD DVR contains of '500Gb Green series Hard disk of Western Digital'. Is this HDD compatible to SATA port of motherboard in Widows environment to transfer the recorded video content ?

    4) Is Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1900 Hybrid TV UPC01337, works/support with TATA-SKY HD DVR ?

    1. if u have hdmi cable u can get hd content on your monitor
    3. u can connect the hard disc to your motherboard and view the contents in it. but the files are encoded heavily. so u cant copy the files and u will be losing warranty for opening the box

    Hey Friend,

Are you using the DELL ST2220L with Tata Sky HD ?
If yes, plz tell me your experiences and whether it works or not via HDMI without TV Tuner ?

I need the information ASAP and i would be highly obliged to you as I'm planning to have the SETUP.
    Thanks.

As far as I know the content in the dvr is completely encrypted and can be played back only when the dvr is connected to the satellite connection.

Even so, the content is also protected by hdcp on hdmi. So your system/pc must support hdcp to play back the content.

As I said this is as far as I know. Why don't you give it a shot and update your findings here?
