Thread: New HD Channels

Is it true that TataSky will be adding a bunch of new HD channels in January.I heard they are shifting to a new satellite and will have a higher bandwidth.

If they shift to a new satellite, will this not mean realignment of dishes?

Yes. I am using Dish TV's services. They have their services through NSS6. But for HD services, they use AsiaSat. You do have to reallign your dish even for TataSky, unless the line of sight for their HD satellite uses the same direction as of now. You can get the satellite allignment details, once you know on which satellite they are planning to lounge the services.

I doubt very much if they will opt for a satellite that requires realignment of the dish.It would be a logistic nightmare for TataSky.
