Thread: Any one satisfied?

Is any one satisfied with the TATA Sky service. I had been using it for some time but i was not really satisfied with there customer care services as i had a problem with TATA Sky and i called there customer care department who assured me to send a technician to my home to check the problem but even after 1 month of call them they didn't send any person and then i disconnected there service. I am not satisfied with there service and they are one of the worst service providers in my terms.

What exactly was the problem?

I think i faced problem with there set top box like it was showing flicker view of the menu and remote was also useless during this time. I had to switch off and then on the set top box but then also i faced this problem.

This is not a new problem. My friend also faced a similar problem and the he also did the same thing you did but there this set up box is not that much of a big problem as there customer care service is.

I am very much satisfied with TATA Sky and i would say that it is much better then other similar service providers. I have never ever got any problem till now and hope that it would keep working as it is right now.

I have not used TATA Sky but i have used TATA other services and as of this i would say that they are good and as of the TATA sky services i have seen a lot of satisfied TATA sky customers.

Looks like a lot of people are satisfied with TATA Sky as i am presently using DishTV and i was thinking of getting on with TATA. So these comments/posts make me a little it more confident for going with TATASky.

Yes, i am one of the satisfied customer of TATA Sky and i would like to recommend this Satelite Tv service provider to every one as i have never faced any problem from them from there side since the day i got there connection.

You will have to pay again for equipment/installation cost but that is a one time cost. If you are not facing issues with DishTV do not jump because others are saying so. Same holds true vice-versa. Basically "don't fix anything that isn't broken".

I have heard many people complaining that they are not getting the good service but they do not say what.

As far as quality of transmission is concerned, TS quality is very good - so is DishTV. There are some channels missing on both sides (I published a list on another thread).

If someone wants to change, ask first - "what will I get more and at what cost? What are one time costs and what are the recurring costs?". Do an ROI analysis.

The choice should be as follows:

Choice of channels
Like entertainment/sports channels --> Get TataSky
Like movies --> Go with DishTV

Cost and Feel Good Factor
DishTV is cheaper (could change in future)
TataSky has better STB and user interface - in my opinion

All other factors are the same.

I have many friends who have TATA Sky and they are very much satisifed with it. I am also thinking of getting this one next month...

problem1:
I reached more than a year of subscribing tatasky. last month i face t problem that i cant see channels properly. while cheking t signal strength in settings it was low. Than i went to check my dish wher i noticed a small crack behind t dish and it was due to heavy wind blow. Because of this i cant get t signal properly. Than i made complaint to customer care and they send engineers. they tried lot and they cant find t problem. than i told about t crack behind t dish. Than they told dish had to be replaced. and i accept to replace t dish. They charge Rs300 for dish replacement and Rs300 for service. i also asked t enginners about t cost for any other cost service in future. They told that even if they attend t complaint Rs300 will be charged and also for any other parts repaired. is this customer fault? They install worst parts and they will charge for that services.

problem2:this Rs600 was detected in my account so amt went in minus and they unsubscribed after 5days. Then i again recharged for Rs500 and after that t message was sent by tatasky that service resumed. but no channels was displayed. i made a call they always put some recorded message and they didn't pick t call, because of this i lost Rs50 in my prepaid sim. And i again made a call but this time i went via by ordering a showcase and immediately my call was picked and problem was rectified. ordering showcase means,there is a service in tatasky were we can order new hindi movies for that they will detect Rs50 for that. " if any one want give complaint dont go through custome support, go via ordering a showcase so that they will pick t call immediately.

I think that tata sky service is really bad
if it works fine it works fine

but if you have a problem and need servicing that is where we know what kind of company is tata

till not i have not got any problem but there are many forum where people complain about the after sale service which is non existent in tata sky
