Thread: Are they worth it?

I was looking forward to get rid of my present cable TV and was looking for getting a Satellite TV for my home as it would be a better option. So what you think is it a good option to go for TATA Sky or shall i got with my present dishTv.?

Yes, TATA Sky is worth to go for. I have many friends who are using it and they are very much satisfied with it. I am also looking forward to get it in next one or two month.

I have seen a lot of positive reviews and views about TATA on this forum and as a comclusion from all that i would say that they are reliable and good to go with.

Yes they are deffinately worth what they are offering. They are good at customer care which is something every customer looks into before going on with..

TATASky is worth trying.... There are mainly two main companies which are good in the Satellite TV business and these are Dish TV and TATA Sky and as TATA Sky have a better picture quality so it would be nice to go with it..

Ahh! Once again! So untrue!!

TATA and DISH are at par right now. I have DISH for 2 years and dont see any substantial reason given by anyone out here which justifies why TATA may be better. I have had a completely satisfactory DISH connection till date.

How can one say that their is difference between picture quality of dishtv and Tatasky, both are same ....can any one explain on which parameter they say picture quality of Tata sky is superior, if you take sample of both and check i think both have same quality.

My thoughts exactly. However, TataSKY has some channels that I would love to have on DishTV - Neo Sports, NDTV Imagine, BBC Entertainment, etc. ZeeTV refuses to add them to DishTV because the asking price. Subhash Chandra says that channel advertising should more than enough cover the profits without these channels asking for too much money. Meanwhile DishTV consumers are being deprived of these channels.

Tata sky in my opinion is more user friendly and the best thing is that you dont have to point the tata sky remote directly towards the box , it will work at an angle of upto 175 degrees on the other hand dish tv's remote is a bit crappy and the push buttons dont have that feel good factor as tata sky.

Yes you should switch to one of them which ever you like.. tata sky or dish tv as there is a huge advantage of picture quality as compared to cable tv and another big factor is that my local cable tv operator goes down when there is a power cut and even if you have back up for your tv you cant do anything to watch your programmes on the other hand tata sky or dish tv will enable you to watch tv in case of a power cut as no cables come into your house and its directly from a satellite.

Tata Sky is wonderful in terms of quality(Amazing service ).But they fail in terms of their subscription and package structure. They are in one or other way increasing the price. Just now they took out some ports channels (Start sport,cricket,ESPN and Ten sports) from basic pkg and put them in different pkgs.So now u need to pay separately for them(Though they reduced the basic pkg price ,the total cost of basic pkg and other pkg containing the removed channels is higher).God only knows what they are gona move out next.

Dish tv is pathetic in terms of service.They are beyond imagination. So it's better wait for sometime and see how BIG Tv performs and then decide

well its worth, if you want to spend a minimum of 375 a month, to get all sports channels, new ones like ndtv imagine, add another Rs30 if you want bbc news as well,

i would advise you to check the packages before going for it,
as regards quality i believe both tata and zee dth are same.

don't know much about zee but tatas customer service is very poor, and they have a lot of hidden charges as well(like installation(too expensive), changing your home, etc..)
