Rep Power: 0 | The ongoing legal battle between TataSky and ESPNStar which the later has won momentarily but I am extremely annoyed with the ticker that runs on the channels that TataSky has been forced to restore to the basic package announcing that the subscribers can enjoy these channels FREE of charge till 30th June. I want to ask you is Tatasky doing us a great favor?. I won't be surprised if in the future Tatasky takes out more channels from the basic package and include them in some exclusive package so that they can earn more profit. I regret the day I subscribed to Tatasky. |

Rep Power: 10 | You may be right to an extent.. in my opinion its a good move as the basic package has been more reasonably priced and different niche channels come at a price. Earlier with everything clubbed up in the basic package even those people were paying fo it who never wanted to watch those channels and now they pay less and still have a choice to add those channels on at an extra charge. Breaking down a product to make it more customisable for customers is in my opinion a great move although it does mean that a certain percentage of viewers will end up paying a little more then they were paying before. I am yet to study the new price structure.. I welcome you to do a quick analysis and show us all how tata sky is making you pay more or less in some cases. Thanks

If that is the case if you see the price , if i was supposed to get the same channels back to my subscription how come i need to pay more than before In the basic package if i was paying Rs 300 with BBC and ESPN removed, i need to pay Rs 260 now but if i was supposed to pay and subscribe for BBC and ESPN then i need to pay more than Rs 300. how is that justified, i have made a mistake by going to Tata sky, i should have stuck to my cable walla

If you have seen the ad posted by ESPNStarSports in some of the local dailies it clearly shows that if these new packages are introduced by TataSky we would by paying more for the same number of channels we had earlier. These new packages are being created for the soul purpose of charging the subscribers extra. It would be very foolish to misjudge their intentions.

Rep Power: 10 | I just realised today that I will be paying a bit more then before to get the same number of channels even more competetion from reliance big tv is not doing any good for the customers I am hoping that when both reliance big tv and videocon dth are launched all across India then the prices should see a downward trend. |
