Well the latest offer from Tata Sky is that they are giving a chance of viewing 60 movies from their showcase absolutely free. At first this offer does excite you and make you happy, but then when you think of it it seems like an offer which doesn't really do you good. The reason for this is that the movies that are shown on Tata Sky are already shown television, which makes them old movies by the time they come on showcase. Secondly there are only two or three movies to choose from, so it doesn't give you much choice. But if you want to pass time then the offers good enough!

You also forgot to mention - the movies remain on the showcase for 7 to 10 days. Hence to watch 60 movies you will require a year or more assuming that you watch a (new) movie every week.

Is it really true that they are offering free 60 movies. What type of movies are they anyway? Are they hollywood or bollywood movies. Can someone post the list of movies that they are offering?

These are generally old movies - more than one year old at least. Most of them are flops and generally not worth watching.

Do not go by any such advertisements either by Tata or Dish.

sky is not providing any movies free now, anyone who signup for tata sky after 1 sep 2008 is not getting any movie free of charge. I called tata to confirm same and as j4x said these movies are really not worth watching and one movie really stays there for a week or so, better if you take membership of some movie club like seventymm or something which can deliver movies to your home. I took seventymm membership and getting unlimited movies free for 3 months and that is for just rupees 800

Rs800 isn't that a bit too much...........but it also depends on how often you will watch the movies if it balances out then its ok, but if not then your losing out. Whats their service like?

no i dont think its much expensive, this 800 includes membership for 3 months (unlimited movies) and registration charges, refundable security too.. i found it a fair deal and the movies which i like to watch can not get those movies from any local store.
one more thing to say here if i rent one movie everyday from local shop then need to pay about rupees 20 as rent which makes
20 movies * 30 days = 600
600 rupees per month * 3 months = 1800

so here i am saving 1000

This Rs800 for three months is it a deal for all time or just a promotion, i mean after the three months how much does it work out to be on a monthly basis

i got it under one promotion for wipro employees and now need to pay 800 for 3 months next time if i feel like to continue then only
